Yeah, most people are addicted but what with those who check if something is good based on likes?

Too many people are addicted on this.
Its same family destroyer like other human counterparts such as Alcohol, slots etc.

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2019No that would not be a good move. YT is not a social platfo... moreThere is no need for Google to do that on YT.

Uploaders just delete massively disliked videos and reupload them or disable the features.

Just like the Diablo Immortal vid or stupid Gilette ad.

Anna, 03 Sep 2019Looking forward for Google to follow this on YouTube. Hide ... moreNo that would not be a good move. YT is not a social platform that it needs to hide likes and dislikes. People mostly like what the like and dislike what they actually dislike. I never even looked at them

Only socially awkward people need something like "like count". Im glad facebook reacts to people going offline. Yet not many, it's a visible trend over here not to be online all the time fishing for unreal compliments.

Good job killing something that made you popular in the first place.

Unfortunately, we can only hope that an alternative rises up since Zuck will end up buying it anyways or people cannot move away from something they got used to.

Majority of the masses just go with the flow.
