At this point it's pretty much a given that the company's upcoming flagships will have the faster refresh rate.

Dolanescu, 06 Sep 2019I don't have a 90Hz display at home or work... and is alrea... moreMy only sub 144 hz panels at home are my phone and TV. The second TV's start to have 4K with 100 or faster refresh rate, my current 60 Hz TV gets replaced. Next phone also won't have a 60 Hz panel. It's just too slow. Good that faster panels start to become more common in phones too. Faster is always nicer to use.

I don’t know how your display but your phone is capture noisy photo even at base ISO...it is universal truth.

rohan123, 06 Sep 2019I think there are 4 reasons why 1. Samsung display co is ... moreThat's true.

I mean more Hz on your display is cool, but I'm fine at lover Hz for better battery life. Yes, scrolling looks smoother with 90Hz and games are better, but 120Hz is pretty much just for gamers.

For what I'm using my S10e - even 90Hz would be pointless. Writing emails and editing documents doesn't really need high refresh rate, and neither do social media, texting or camera app. And that is pretty much all I do on my phone.

So, more Hz for more money and worse battery drain would be a pretty bad trade-off for me.

I am not happy with battery capacity. But I will wait and see. It will be my first phone from Google.

If OnePlus's battery wasn't good enough for that 2K90Hz panel on a 4,000 mAH battery, Pixel is gonna fail at battery life. It's like they truly don't care...

rohan123, 06 Sep 2019I think there are 4 reasons why 1. Samsung display co is ... moreBasically the same issue with Sony Mobile. Sony's Alpha cameras and Bravia TVs have always been topnotch in their categories, but Sony's Xperia line can't get display and camera right, even more so with cameras since they make their own sensors and they've been innovative in that regard. It's only now that they're trying to sort of merge the technologies they have.

                    1. Samsung display co is supplying these displays to others Samsung mobiles is different from Samsung semiconductors and Samsung display co.
                    2. big companies like Samsung tend to work on their smartphones way early maybe a 6 - 1 year.
3.there's is a big flaw with 90/120 Hz display.it's battery life. you can include more battery but big battery means more heat means you have to include better cooling system also you have to increase the thickness or increase the display if you want to include a big battery.
                    4. regular consumers don't care about this and tech-savvy people are in the minority. we got to stop thinking like we are the centre of the universe.

If Google decides to pair what I'm assuming will be a 1440P 90hz OLED display with a 3500mAh battery I will not be very happy

Other companies go to Samsung Display and get screens with 90 and 120Hz without reddish whites.
                        Why cant Samsung Mobile?

Soo essentially we know everything about the phone
                          Google should release it now
either way this September October release is too late for Qualcomm socs as Qualcomm will unveil new 865 in December

they better be packing more battery for the smaller version, 2800 mah isn't really enough. 3700 mah is a bit small when compared to competition, but really it's usable. tho, when you think about it, the Zenfone 6 actually does the things better than this, except for camera. it has everything, just except the high quality camera that the Pixels always use.
