5 megapixel Nokia N96 pictures leaked

The screens probly 2.6 cause theres 6 active stand by shortcuts, a 2.8 has 7 as in my N95 8GB and having a 2.8 in this phone will make it huge but the idea of the looks of n81 and specs of n95 is cool, the only reason i did't go for the n81 was cause the n95 8GB specs were amazing so this would be a good buy, don know why theres no review key but its still a proto. the days are finally here; i bet its gonna come with a 4GB microSDHC...nice

The phone looks pretty real to me. If this is as you say a hybrid between N81 and N95 then that means the second slide hides gaming buttons since it has those for music and video on the front.

if its real then its real / if its fake then its fake, but i do expect better stats then the N95, or it defeats the purpose of making a higher N series model, they might aswell have made n95 version 3 after the 8GB thats if its rumored stats are to be real

Maybe the other slide is for a speaker. Good thing if they place a larger speaker for a more good music experience:)

Ok guys,
I don't think this is a Fake, but I really hope Nokia will improve this PROTOtype. How come they go back to get LED flash? eventhough is double LED is not as good as Xenon used in Nokia N82. If it is true that is a Hibrid of N81 and N95 I hope it brings al the features they both have, GPS, WiFi, Ngage, TV out and so on...

Anyoway, looks cool! Just like the N81! I hope it won't feel all plasticky and like a toy!
And, anyone knows how large is the screen?

This is fake, if there will be an N96 it will be with a touch screen and the new Symbian OS.

hey people, i dont know abt u guys but this is quite dodgy. look at the buttons surrounding the d-pad closely... those are music control buttons! so, what's the point of the dual slide construction???

n95 is not equak to n95 or n81!
It offers considerable improvements in the software department. If this phone will run symbian 9.5 (announced last march) http://www.symbian.com/news/pr/2007/pr20078925.html and series 60 3rd edition feature pack 2 (Whew! that was long!)http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-s60-fp2-en.shtml as said in the article.

I hope they wouldn't use this design.... Its a rip off (of their own) n81. And frankly, I hate it. Oh well, this is just probably a prototype. Maybe the design team isn't finished making a fugly phone look good.

definitely a fake. the double slide doesn't even have any kind of keys, its absurd, and besides the key between the camera shooter and the zoom keys to review pictures is missing. FAKE. no doubt.

Do you know anything? It is a prototype. It's not necessarily what the finished product is going to look like. I am not denying that there is a possibility that it is a chinese mock up, but dont be so closed minded dude.

!!!IT IS A FAKE!!!
If u look closely at picture no.5 , u will see it doesn't seem to have mp3 control keys . I increased the brightness of the picture and it was quite clear those 4 keys were absent,but for some unknown reason the phone can slide in both direction !!!
Moreover those keys, if they are even there, should be lighted since the phone's backlight is on.
I mean, just look at the almost-blank screen ..........
I would like to believe its a fake ..............

i don't think it's fake...i'm from the philippines and it doesn't look like any of those imitations/clones from china.
the materials used for those phones are different from what real branded manufacturers use.
chinese phones use touch screen lcds for their phones.(and if you can notice3 that there is an original nokia battery used for this phone.)
the menu icons here are basic icons because this unit is still a "PROTOtype"...n95,n81 and n82 units also used basic themes for their protos back then.
if i haven't mistaken this n96 has a bigger screen than the n81(i wish it would be a 2.8inches lcd rather than the 2.6 of n95)
one more things...i don't think nokia would place multimedia buttons on the upper slider of the phone becuase all those music keys are already placed near the d-pad.
it might be like the samsung i450 that has a speakers on it...or it might be the new place for the gaming keys.
the differences that i noticed with this phone and the n81 is that it looks a little bit wider and the music keys are slightly elevated.
i'm not really sure but i have some speculations that this phone is targeted like the n92 and n77 that is used for mobile tv because of the kick stand.
i hope nokia will bring back the ambient light sensor, change the dual flash unit into a single xenon flash and place a cover on the camera.
if nokia will place 8gb+ flash memory this is going to be my next phone!
(but i'm not sure of they would becuase if you can see...there is a memory card cover on the left side of the phone...you can't see it clearly because there are no pictures that is showing the whole left of the phone)

its gotta be fake, even though it looks pretty real lol, cause why would u put dual LED flash on the N96 when the N82 has Xeon flash. and then u have the pretty similar features like 5MP wifi etc.
if this phone is real, it would be a music / video etertainment type phone, not the all rounder best of everything phone, this phone could even actually be an N83 or N85. If a real N96 or higher N9X was to come along i would expect out of this world stats, like all that N95 has and extra like tv reciever, bigger screen , better camera (optical included), more hightec design etc, still pretty cool, but i like me N95 better still

Few months back N82, N95 8GB etc was fake but they are now fact, i think SE staff is worried about New SE Killer called as N96 wow Nokia i love you.
