Xperia P and S are too expensive for that spec. Better buy SGS2.

Sony have released some details on WhiteMagi:
              http://developer.sonymobile.com/wp/2012/02/27/introducing-whitemagic-the-technology-in-xperia-p/

But checking my phone battery usage saving 50% on screen would probably only mean a 20% max saving on battery.

The main concerns with this range as a whole...

Every phone regardless of high or low end is essentially the same design - not enough distinction for the flagship.

Specs for such high prices are essentially last year's - but with the added issue of non-expandable memory slots - a complete failure - especially when HD videos take masses of space, as does music, films, games, etc.

Xperia S all but forgotten - revealed too early - no sign of Zion... still no match for big hitters at MWC...

I really wanted Sony to pull something out of the bag this year... doesn't look like it's going to happen...

AnonD-16432, 29 Feb 2012Totally aggreed! Its like comparing Ferrari (Sony) to Ford,... moreSony is a big name, yes. But Sony is NOT the Ferrari of the gadget world.

In fact there is no such Ferrari - such direct comparisons don't make sense in the electronics industry.

Sony is at best a BMW, or Audi sedan - something you pay slightly more for a premium name and better performance; but not so over the top that you're the only one in town who has one or something people will stop and stare at.

The U is a great deal, may be the best in its category. The P is way overpriced IMHO, but that is just companies' habit of squeezing every penny out of their new devices.. I am certain that its price will drop shortly after release.

Sony are really short of "names" and they are launching products with really confusing names. Their new line-up says - Xperia UPS(i.e. Xperia U, P and S). Now everyone in the world knows what are UPS! They just used the word and separated the characters and used it in their new line-up. Good job Sony!! :P

Also Sony already have Xperia Arc S, and now they have introduced Xperia S!! :P :D
Its like Samsung introducing Galaxy 1 after launching Galaxy 2!!
