However, I don't think Apple has to worry too much about sales - they seem to be doing just fine the way they are. & regards the suing. TBH yes it has gone a bit far but they are certainly not the only mobile manufacturer doing it & weren't even the first manufacturer to sue another.. & After the Galaxy tab 10.1 debacle I can see why they sued Samsung over that. Indeed I would have too.
I saw the original Galaxy tab 10.1 released a few weeks before the iPad 2 & it was a bloated ugly looking thing. Then on the day that apple released the iPad 2 they took it off the shelves (this very site reported on it). They went away for a few weeks & then lo & behold they reintroduced a svelte, iPadesque device that even the defence lawyer in Germany couldn't tell apart from an iPad across a small courtroom..
but I agree - releasing a phone that made calls whilst locked & in your pocket was very sloppy indeed. (can't comment on the death grip as I believe that was blown out of proportion - I have an iPhone 4 & haven't experienced dropped calls/reception once.. My HTC legend was far far worse. Reception was poor & holding the phone made the signal simply disappear).

My issue with Apple is that their main means of being competitve in the market place is to run to the nearest court room, rather than focus on making better products that will appeal to more users and hence result in more sales.
Of course some bugs will slip through the net that is due to human faillability when progamming and is perfectly normal, within reason, of course. However, to actually put a phone on the market (as they did early on) that even when locked will still make phone calls defies belief! The grip of death issue may be hardware but is still testing at the end of the day. I just wonder how that issue did not get spotted before hand. It is a hardly minor unnoticeable issue. Would you not agree these are not minor obscure issues so how do they get missed. This one, in all fariness, is relatively minor and probably easily fixed, assuming they don't just deny and do nothing, which frankly I wouldn't put past them. I don't know what the current offical status so this is, in all honestly.
My concern with Apple and this would go for any company that abuses its position, is that rather than move forward on their own auspices they just seek to hold others back by silly patent battles etc.

This is an OS bug & therefore nothing to do with hardware. Therefore it is in EXACTLY the same situation as android. It's an OS & how many devices it's on makes absolutely no difference to the bugs.
Android is developed by 1 developer & then manufacturers can install that to their own devices. If it has a bug then that's nothing to do with the hardware. Same as with iOS & iphone.
OS's are prone to bugs in their development & they are constantly being updated to fix bugs/issues (windows XP still receives updates to fix bugs). To rabidly attack apple because their OS has bugs whilst defending Android whose OS has exactly the same bug is nonsensical & shows blinkered fanboyism in the extreme.
As for Samsung, HTC et al not having time to test their products fully. Again, nonsense. The whole reason the android updates are so delayed across devices is because of the time taken to test the OS & add their own skins & then test those skins. & having worked in a UAT environment in the past I know that you simply cannot test every single scenario. You'd never get anything to market if you did as it would take too much time. You simply test against the most common bugs & then read reports of bugs found & then work on those bugs specifically to fix them.
But. If you really thought that these manufacturers didn't fully test their products before going to market & you still bought them, then that would make you very foolish.

i hear that people say the ios is the perfect operating system but however why does ios always have so many small bugs in the phone and how come the company does find out these bugs before anyone else and fix them.

Testing encompasses hardware or software and yet Apple have a track record of putting out phones to the market with bugs. The "grip of death" was a hardware issue not software and they only make one phone. So how well were they testing it?? Also don't forget unlike Samsung, HTC etc. Apple are in total control of the total environment. So how come their devices seem to get to market with just as many bugs? It implies less testing etc. Hence my original assertion that perhaps if they dedicated more time to sorting out their own O/S and hardware and less time in the court room things like this wouldn't happen.

What you say makes no sense.
If a company (take Samsung or HTC for example) produces 50 phones each, all on Android. The bug factor isn't in the 50 phones it's within Android itself. Therefore if you have a buggy OS it doesn't matter if you run 1 or 50 phones on that OS - you'll still have the bug. So iOS may have as many bugs as android but it can only be compared with android as an OS not with every phone.
Or we could go down that route & say well iOs bug lets photos be uploaded without permission... that's 1 bug on 3 phones so looking at it your way that's 3 bugs.
Now Android has the same bug but if you're counting it on the 50 samsungs & the 50 htcs then that's 100 bugs...
see how silly that sounds?

right now apple is acting like that next door neighbour who lives next door to android. cops come around asking bout de loud music they been bashing n they go like....."but they play louder" *points at android*. i never liked apple products because u spend loads of money on them and it dnt really feel like yu own it, i like to play with stuff i spend lots of money on. but with apple stuff its like DONT TOUCH THAT, OH NO NO NO NO SORRY YOU JUST CANT TOUCH THAT SIR OR WE WILL TAKE IT BACK. apple is not crap its just.......apple n yu get bored.
