Who wants MicroSD card slot in pixel phones and why?

Everyone always says the Chinese are stealing designs ... And I do not talk about the front because it's so ugly, you can not copy it anywhere.

Kangal, 12 Sep 2019To be honest, this isn’t as ugly as I thought it would be. ... moreSeems that you didn’t see the front that has the biggest forehead of any phone around. Yeah pixel 3xl notch are ugly agree with that, but pixel 4/4xl forehead are more uglier than notch.

Anonymous, 12 Sep 2019There's not much "XL" about a 6.2" 19.5:9 screen. Came... moreWell, for me 6.2" screen is "XL", since it's bigger than the old style 5.7" 16:9 screen, which everyone called "too big" just few years ago. And I'm sure hands don't grow over a certain point.

I know, people will say "now we have 19:9 screens, so it's easy to hold in hand". I could hold 6" 16:9, no problem, but couldn't comfortably use it with one hand. Same goes for those tall screens.

For me perfect sizes would be:
              Mini ~5",
              Regular ~5.7"
              XL ~6.2"
              Maxxx ~6.7"
Obviously with the tall screen ratio. Everyone would have a choice. Right now if you want something smaller than XL you have to choose Pixel, S10e, or iPhone.
I'm not talking about mid or lower range, since I'm simply not interested in them.

Anonymous, 12 Sep 2019Totally agree, same senor for three generations. Even budge... moreStart up? OnePlus is just a brand. OnePlus = BBK.

BBK are OnePlus, Oppo, RealMe, Vivo etc.

Also, the OnePlus brand is now 7 generations of phones old.

                  Camera sensors look very underwhelming.

Unless they aggressively reduce pricing on these, I see them selling even worse then the 1, 2 & 3.

iamoct, 12 Sep 2019Google for god sake. Upgrade the damn main camera sensor. ... moreI don't see them actually going with a new sensor for awhile, I think the only thing keeping them from doing it is Gcam itself. Even if they do end up putting a new sensor in the Pixel 5 and onward I'd prefer a custom 12MP 1/1.7" sensor and not a 48MP one like most phones have these days. With Google's HDR+ algorithms they don't need pixel binning

iamoct, 12 Sep 2019Google for god sake. Upgrade the damn main camera sensor. ... moreTotally agree, same senor for three generations. Even budget end devices have moved on! Take OnePlus. The OnePlus 6 is 16mp with 1.12µm pixels. the OnePlus 6T the same 16mp but larger pixels at 1.22µm and now the 7 and 7 pro with the 48mp pixel binned sensor. Real progress! If a start up can do surely Google can upgrade their tech!

To be honest, this isn’t as ugly as I thought it would be.
But still, Google needs to take advantage of that bottom lip-bezel by placing the loudspeaker there. That way the speaker performance is enhanced. And the rear camera module, that needs to be flush with the body.

I appreciate that they added 90Hz mode, although, 60Hz is fine and a leap to 120Hz is more noticeable/useful.
And I know they’ve added gimmicks like the Squeeze buttons, the front-camera navigation, and Face Unlock. I just hope this doesn’t come at the expense of an under-screen fingerprint scanner. And by gosh, Google needs to step up their game when it comes to battery capacity, since they’ll be running a noticeable 20% smaller cell than most of the competitors. I guess performance isn’t too bad, say compared to the ASUS RoG Phone 2, or to the upcoming Samsung S11 devices in 6 months or less.

I can’t help but see this device as being inspired by the early leaks of iPhone 11. They need to start copying innovation/design from other competitors instead.

                            Cannot be more ugly..

Pixel 4 will flop like the 3 did. Pixel 4a will sell better.

These are clearly not leaks. Google wants the information out there. It's just viral marketing.

Google for god sake. Upgrade the damn main camera sensor.

I will hold tight to my Pixel 2 Xl as i dont see any significant upgrade at all. 2 xl is still perform very fast.
