                I would like to see a comprehensive camera comparison review between Xperia 5, iPhone 11 (Pro?), Galaxy Note 10 (Plus?) and the upcoming phones: Huawei Mate 30 and Pixel 4.

                Compare everything: Low light, zoom, macro, autofocus, video, audio, camera app UI.

                Comparison reviews are more useful than standalone reviews.

                  The real compact devices that Sony made before probably not sold very well. I suppose it was same for Apple with iPhone SE. So maybe this may be a thing people like. A slightly smaller phone than Xperia 1, but basicly same specs with the cameras.

                  I guess time will tell how it goes.

                        UWA is waste of time.
                        Especially when the distortion correction works by cropping.
                        You lose FOV in the end.

                            with it's est 20% price difference between xperia 1 and xperia 5, a regular sized phone with no compromise, could be a surprise hit for sony.
                            it's noted that other manufacturer's regular size phones are compromised compare to their better spec flagship brothers, p30 vs p30 pro, s10 vs s10e, in terms of camera set up

                            time will tell if this regular sized xperia flagship will be failure or sucess

It adds differemt perspective, and easy to toggle option that many people i know actually used it, whether indoor to capture more of what's inside limited space in a room or landscapes (preferring it over Panorama mode)
