Google! Please STOP making the newer Pixel phones to look like an iPhone! All that great tech inside of the Pixel will be foreshadowed by the embarrassment of holding an "iPhone" wannabe.

Even from my personal test, because I work for a telecom company so I get to test some phones. I did some instagram blind tests and people always chose the picture with the most color in it

No, Note 10 photos aren't even as good as Pixel 3's. I compared them myself. Note 10 overexpose and oversharpen so much the photos have so much artifacts when viewing on a 4K screen

I thought the iPhone's hump would turn up uglier, however the color was a pleasant surprise and now the Pixel ends up uglier.

The most fluid optimization I ever felt from Android was 7.1.1 with the original Pixel and again with 9.0 (Aug-Oct 2018) with the Essential Phone and Pixel 3.
Android 10 is going to be a problem to people that uses certain older apps daily. There's a good chance the ability to block spammers will forever be gone because Google has their own call screen solution. The Dasher app that helps pays me daily now crashes alot more or my phone is unresponsive or freezes.
The turn off for from the Pixel 4 isn't its hideous design, non-matte glass back, and price. People can whine about all that. The biggest turn off for me is Android 10. It's like Google doesn't care anymore. I was reading how they made KitKat. They used a gimped Nexus 4 with only 512 MB of RAM and it only had a dual-core to work with.
Google was very considerate with practicality back then. With Project Svelte, they wanted Android to have a smaller footprint. Now they just don't seem to care anymore, their current GCam updates are horrendous, and everything just feels bloated and slower. Android 10 really feels like iOS11 was to iPhone users.
Try using GMaps. I have to turn everything off in notifications. This is the current state of Google now. They don't care. They want to throw as many notifications and ads towards us.

My point really is that reviewers don't seem to give any weight to photos viewed at actual size which is my most important metric and where the S10/Note 10 fails terribly. I still actually use an S5 myself and i know from comparisons of well lit shots of grass, leaves and tree branches that the S5 can actually take sharper, more detailed images than the S10 camera does. I'm aware that Samsungs processing is what often ruins their images and i would never use Samsungs own photo app because of the hideous sharpening it applies.
I did see a review of the S10 camera when using the Pixel software port (on XDA i think) and it still looked pretty bad at actual size to me which surprised me. This site have done a comparison between a few cameras including the S10 using the same images taken at the same time and you can clearly see the lack of detail in the S10 camera at actual size.

Android 10 is an awful piece of software. I feel sorry for people going to buy the Pixel 4 or 4 XL only discover their call blocking apps don't work or QuickPic no longer shares. Or the many glitches and bugs that Android 10 brought in.
Hate Pie all you want but the versions from August-October 2018 were the best ever for me. I know for a fact my Essential Phone on them were silky smooth and efficient with battery life. By the 2019 security patches for Pie, it just worse and worse.
One of my favorite numbers is 4 but I have no interest getting a Pixel 4 considering my awful 9-day experience using Android 10 broke several of my apps. Back on a September 2018 build and my Pixel 3 is better than when I first got it with March 2019.
I've been using my phone for only 20 minutes and I killed 3%. On Android 10, that's easily 5%-6%. Every security patch update, it could make your battery life worse by about 1%. By the time we all get to Android 10, it becomes 10-15% worse.
Android 10 is awful. Avoid it if you can unless you desperately need their overrated dark mode or want to be called by spammers daily. And I can't use the iOS-like gestures on Nova. Android 9 might be the last time call blocker apps won't be broken.

The "assambled" instead of "made in" is just a marketing scheme. They want to suggent that some parts are made in the US but we all know that all of the parts are made also in Asia before they are assambled in ... Asia :)))

They don't have any idea that color accuracy is essential. My co-workers, for example, prefer the photos taken from Samsung phones they have brighter and oversaturated, even if unrealistic, colors over more accurate colors.
Luckily, many Youtube reviewers already know about how some brands, like Samsung for example, tend to oversaturate and overexpose their photos. MKBHD, for example, still considers the S10+/Note 10+ inferior to the Pixel 3 and even the iPhone Xs in terms of photo quality because of how Samsung oversaturates and overexposes their photos.

Does the Pixel 4 have 3 rear cameras? When you look at the picture, it looks like there is two cameras on either side, and one on top. I wonder if the third camera is depth sensor camera?

Shriker, 14 Sep 2019The camera on the S10/Note 10 is shite but for some reason ... morerubbish, I have the note 10 plus, and many reviews have put the camera slightly below most of the competition, it excells in a few areas but comes short in a LOT of areas, the camera is not the problem, the algorithms and app are the issue, I have sideloaded a pixel 3 camera app on to my note 10 and the image quality is astounding by comparison, samsung cameras have always been very good, its the software and processing that lets it down
