Had an opportunity to play with Nokia 808 PureView at MWC and was amazed by the camera performance. Its quite an innovation and due credit should be given to Nokia engineers. Also, I found belle software to be pretty smooth, at par to most Androids.

        http://www.anandtech.com/show/4951/iphone-4s-preliminary-benchmarks-800mhz-a5-slightly-slower-gpu-than-ipad-2

Look at Galaxy s2 (dual core ~ 1.2 Ghz) vs iPhone 4 (single core 800 Mhz) on sunspider javascript.

        Dont Look at iPhone 4S

Just see iPhone 4 Vs Galaxy s2 on entire charts , iPhone 4 can trash poor software (2.3 gingerbread) og galaxy s2.

bottom 2 are offscreen ones , so they dont count into performance tests.

Does 41mp mean more quality or more...size??? is this a camera with phone functions or the opposite??? because it's too poor for a smartphone (under today's standards)and not too thrilling for a camera...

This is belle , it has already beaten android in camera department. Btw android has never come close. It is beating android in battery backup since age. Multimedia features are also gud in symbian. C7 plays avi out of the box but galaxy ace is struggling. The only place where droid has the edge is apps. That too is not symbians fault. Symbian has been the best and still has all the capabilities to be the best.

wow its a monster.such a great tech of camera .even the camera maker should be afraid of this giant camera fon as its superb for its photos..
People keep bashing symbian even its most light os that doesnt required much power.why would people think a big thing(dual core/quad core cpu) doing a great thing is such a great?hence the small thing(such symbian that doesnt required much power)that also could do same as the "big thing" could do is claimed as a bad thing?its juz like u admire a man that could lift up a sand hence an ant that could do so u dun c..

AnonD-22285, 04 Mar 2012looks like you are frustrated at once you say Symbian can't... moreI didn't say I don't own any OS, I just said that I haven't told you which one. And now I have to own a device using a particular OS just to admire it? You say some weird things!!!

I change my mobile phones like the weather and have owned many different formats. Of them all there is one I'll never go back to and that's symbian (and probably never blackberry either)

Now I see you wish to compare mobile Soc's to desktop hardware??? fair enough

whilst were at it why don't were compare the photo qualities of the 808 with....oh lets say a Nixon D7000 or a Canon eos 60D or something along those lines and see how they really compare.

I have already said Nokia has introduced a very impressive camera with the 808, shame they didn't use the MWC to introduce any good smartphones!

Talking about bad English?? not only is yours terrible but your logic is also flawed!

Explain this? If Symbian is so technically so superior, then why is the industry and the public abandoning it in droves?

Ale, 03 Mar 2012Oh i'm sure you won't complain, not likely to happen though... morelooks like you are frustrated at once you say Symbian can't match Android in multimedia and usability (you admire a OS which you don't own How?) and now saying you don't own any OS and looks like your English is not good i guess, that statement simply means you got jealeous simply looking at camera specification what i was trying to say is what Android can do with multicores, Symbian can do that with single core (actually better) eg: 1.3Ghz single core is still lower than clock of many multicore processors say Nvidia tegra 3 (1.5Ghz quad cores with fifth low power core) still this phone can do 1080p Video can handle 41MP camera

I am so glad that nokia isnt using android. Just try to imagine, almost the whole mobile phone industry would be then under googles android. How sad would it be. Symbian is the best.

                                      Color me impressed!

I am currently an N8 user my main reason for purchasing of course was the stellar 12mp camera. This is a definite improvement over the already superb nu. A 41 MP, 3x loseless xoom, 1080p video record with continual autofocus, larger screen and sensor, led light as well as xenon..so great~ Truly Nokia has done an outstanding job. My next phone no contest.

It's quite an improvement from nokia. Except for N8, camera phones are not one of their fortes. For normal handphone users like me, not too bothered with surfing on the internet and downloading applications using smartphones. I'd have to fork out extra just to pay for the internet. Not all people need the internet 24 hours/day.
Camera performance, great battery life, durability and good file editors are priorities for me. Nokia, compare with Samsung/Sony, excels in the 1st three aspects. If there's great file managers included, i'll take this one in a heartbeat.
