    Why gsmarena always use dead color phones versions??? Black or gray. Use white or blue or red color phones for reviews. It is better for pictures.

                My overall score is 298198 on antutu v7.
                No root/custom rom, stock MIUI 10.3.7.0

                            Better flagship is pricier than this. Worse may be same (Poco... IDK them). S9 not same price as this or midranger generally (agree with guys below). If you pay somewhat more may be worth if prefered.
                            Secondly, matter of personal preference. For instance I'd not be willing to look at 2018 notch, screen sometimes smaller... and by this philosophy you could buy 1-2 year old phones all your life, would you?

                            So it's possible to buy old flagship but not a general rule.

Redmi note 8 pro's antutu 8 score is around 280k while sd845 phones anturu28 score is around 295k which reflects the same result. Do your own research man

                                      I now need 2 sim, one main (family, close work friend) and burnable one (project coworker) or from the need at specific areas when i work offsite (cell provider coverage)

                                      And seriously, Asus and Realme both have 2 sim+ dedicated slot in last gen. Why Xiaomi didn't follow?

                                        Second hand, you could get as low as $180 but with defects (amoled problem mostly). Clean second hand still around $300.
