i've been using android smarphone for almost 1.5years now and addicted to its technology. I never have to wait to reach home or office to do my stuff on pc like this guy must have posted his comment from his pc, I do almost everything on my phone. Only google and apple know the use of a smartphone not just a phone. Get a seperate camera if you like clicking photos

MdN, 06 Mar 2012You can do most of the things you named on 808 just as well... moreNo, you cannot do most of the things he mentioned on the 808 or on ANY Nokia phone for that matter. I don't know if you have ever owned a smartphone before, but we need those features (most of them) EXACTLY because we have a life, not the other way around.

I don’t know why the people comparing this monster with a garbage 808. 808 with 360 x 640 pixels is a pure joke.

I love this monster. I’m jealous with this lovely phone. Because I still love my Sensation.

                            HTC quality brilliant!

I personally think its pretty. Mine's a desire HD and it also shots better than the iPhone my siblings have. It's great for 8MP camera. And hey that's a phone not a Digital camera, so give it a shot!

the images are looking good but seem to have a lot of noise from high iso. F/2.0 is good at low light but unless its focus well on the subject. but some of images hardly focus well

rfxrlz, 05 Mar 2012The 808 is by far the greatest device released in these yea... moreI think you're the one doing the ranting, but let's break down what you say...

"The 808 is by far the greatest device released in these years, what are you ranting about?"

I'm not sure millions of people who have bought iphones, galaxys, xperias, etc. would agree there...

"You use the phone for what it is, not for an update that may come 2 years from now, bringing you a slower UI, and 3 app widgets more."

That was probably true a few years ago, but now phones are used for so much more (probably why Nokia has added a camera to it)

"You use to make calls, send sms, organize your contacts, take photos, and ocassionally browse the web."

YOU might only do that with it, but millions do a lot more... a heck of a lot more, mine is a remote control for Sonos at home, it's a Sky+ recorder, it's a personal organiser, it's a document editor, it's a radio, music player, camera, photo editor, you get the picture...

"WTF do I need apps for? I mean, seriously. I've only seen crappy apps that make fart noises (thousands of them), that turn your phone to a flashlight (put the display white), and all crap like that. Seriously? Are people all over these kind of things?"

You've obviously only looked at the Ovi store... that's probably the lamest generalisation EVER... take a look at Apple's app store, or Google's market... there are films, games, apps, music, productivity solutions, etc. etc. not a fart noise app in sight (unless you're specifically looking for them?) over a billion downloads I'd say prove you wrong here...

"Gimme good hardware like this and I can snap some awesome videos and photos, and use my phone for what it is. A phone. "

Using your phone, for what it is? A phone or a camera? ;)

You see, phones aren't 'just phones' anymore, and the argument that apps are just pointless glasses of beer, etc. are looooong gone... Phones are linked to Facebook, Twitter, PCs, navigation (how many times I've used actual navigation on it - amazing), it's a personal organiser, and there are SO MANY MORE things that people use it for...

And that's my point... you're sacrificing all of this for a half-decent camera... on a screen you can't even appreciate these photos on... when this technology moves on to Lumia, then it'll be a different ball game, but as it stands, I think the 808 is a great marketing tool for the technology, but not as a realistic handset...
