NotAnOpinion, 24 Sep 2019What's worse, many Chinese's programmers are calling out Hu... moreAre you speaking about Harmony OS? What does that have to do with the Mate 30 line? If they are talking about Huawei as a whole and their announcement of Harmony OS for future devices I understand, but the Mates got AOSP with EMUI on top, which basically means the same Android they would have but without Google services.
In my opinion Huawei deserves some slack. Yes, they have rushed and said a bunch of things in an attempt to mitigate the damage caused by the ban, but what else are they supposed to do? just leave their brand name be tarnished, lose all reputation they have acquired through the last decade and let their business shrink based on unproven accusations?. I do feel bad for Huawei, not for the executives losing money but for the about 200.000 employees worldwide that would lose their jobs if the brand dies.

MadMel, 24 Sep 2019youtube works just fine on M30 , and specs are OK to , just... moreyou are right... but on an M30 if I have a notification for a new video and I open the video directly in youtube the notification is still there(same for messages, calendar, and other things...)... on pixel the notification is gone...
Is like a car with keyless go and a normal one where you need to press a button to open the doors... in both situations, you have the functionality to remotely open the doors, but the service to open the doors is better with keyless go...
So for me, I like to spend as less time as possible to perform a task... If I have the posibility I will pay more for a better experience! And as you said... youtube work on M30 so at this point the specs are irelevant!

Over the years I heard about some bugs... never happen on my phone... probably because I only use the popular apps(maps, gPhoto, FB, WhatsApp, youtube, twitch )... and some video content apps like Netflix and HBO Go just to easily cast a movie to TV... and every day I use the assistant for reminders ...
So I don't care about specs if this

Waiting for its South-east asian release details and variant of colors it will come with. Hopefully it resolve its issue with Google and ship in more color variants.

yes... it is a great piece of hardware... but if you pay 200$ and cant watch a video on youtube or use the maps... also the google photo is not available...
I don't know if is enough to say "I have uber specs" and you need to ask a friend to play a clip on youtube...

It's sad that China's own native programmers/developers doesn't agree with a few tech sites (shills/paid) overhyped praise for the Mate 30 series and are complaining that Huawei’s Ark Compiler is not even half-finished.
"With all due respect, those who defended Huawei and appealed to "not so harsh on Huawei" did not even understand a basic fact: Huawei does not represent the highest level of Chinese technology, especially in terms of open source technology."
