To be clear, they are adding headset profile, not headphone profile. I can already use headphones through USB-C, but for any use of the microphone, the audio is re-routed through the phone ignoring the headphones.
I use Pixel buds and I would absolutely love to be able to use them for phone conversation or WhatsApp call, so I can't wait to have this update available for me in Canada.

If u're from Portugal, and if u have an A70 from MEO, u are only in software version xxxASGx (have check it right now and no software update is available by now).
Still have to update to software version xxxASHx and then to version xxxASIx.
Maybe within 2 or 3 years xxxASix arrives to our equipments...
    Speechless!!!!

If this keeps up, Samsung would fill the internal storage with bloatware you can't remove then recommend upgrading your device to one with more storage capacity.

                Well played!

Zion45, 27 Sep 2019Two Type C port will be damn ugly bro..better have the 3.5m... moreI've seen & been through these stories before, they lose credibility when fact checked, they used fake & unsafe chargers, so be safe & don't use them, they're also a fire hazard, also the most prominent one was in a factory environment, so who knows they're maybe some truth in that one where it's easilly possible that the mains supply was unregulated, unprotected & unsafe.

I listen via the 3.5mm jack (as well as wireless if I'm on the move) whilst charging, I have never experienced any problem & have no worries because my consumer unit's RCD circuit breakers would trip out way on any fault way before a dangerous current or voltage surge could be delivered, even a light bulb going will trip out that lighting circuit.

If you have the old fuse wire cartridge type, then you could plug your charger into an RCD protected device.
If in doubt about your electrics then contact a qualifed electrician.

With 2019's tech, I'm sure every tech company knows how to deal with that nowadays. The people who died from that was more than a decade ago.

To be fair, I only used it for less than two hours and after it's fully charged, I pulled it off anyway but hey, the headphones still attach to it is, still attached.

It should be standard to have audio trough Type-C even when the phone have 3.5mm jack.
It should not be as a software update for it. Makes no sense to have software update for it tbh.
