Cadec007, 02 Oct 2019Is it only me or Huawei wins it overall in the camera aspec... moreNo it's not you. Huawei is the clear winner in this shootout. Its daytime images are miles ahead of the competition in retained fine detail and resolution. Its night shots have the best balance between retaining the most fine detail while maintaining low noise whilst still producing sufficiently sharp images. Huawei deserves the best camera award in this shootout. Huawei has tweaked the in-camera processing in the right direction. The previous Huawei phones (Mate 20/P30 pro) camera output were too overprocessed, oversharpened and devoid of fine detail with lots of pseudo detail from excessive medium frequency and low frequency sharpening. Well done Huawei! Now if only it had Google Play.

Second place goes to iPhome 11 Pro and third place to Note 10+.

Is it only me or Huawei wins it overall in the camera aspect this year.....?

Here in my country the price drop is based on mobile operator and not on manufacturer. And here we have iphone 11 pro, Note 10+ and mate 30 pro for same price. It is mabey 30 EUR diference at most. If you have diferent in your country then your operator suc** a**.

Samsung Huawei (and Pixel) tend to overprocessing to the image. Apple is much natural in this comparison, if you say which is much close as reality.

geekacontra, 01 Oct 2019hmmm... let's see.... cropping for composition corrections.... moreAll the basic things u mention here are as exactly as i'll do in the first place (most of it). But color hue, temp & vibrancy, HSL, toning & curves are base on one event. If i create my presets on one particular related photos, i'll paste it all on it. Polarr app are my best friend on the smartphone, Lightroom some of the time, but Polarr more simplified to me.

Another day, another different presets, base on the moods & that particular events. But i'm towards cinematic film like photography as i used to own Leica camera before, therefore i settled with Huawei. Its color palette and signature looks are identical. For professional event, i'll stick with my new Fuji X-E3 (cant afford for another Leica obviously). For that definitely fiddle around using DNG format (lots of film effects presets). Used to own Sony RX100 vi earlier, but not fully satisfied & its just not my style (win in compactness though) and trade with the Fuji as mentioned.

Previously in 30 December 2018, you can see they used the Nikon D750 midrange full-frame DSLR with a fast Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G lens for reference purposes.

Shui8, 01 Oct 2019U love realistic colors & consistency of the camera. ... morehmmm... let's see.... cropping for composition corrections... straightening for a hand movement when clicking the snapper... contrast correction for dark images caused by clouds or a big object preventing the light to get to the subject... removing undesired features like a garbage bin or a crane hoovering above the duomo of milan... removing a color hue caused by some accidental reflections... correcting excessive perspective effect in extreme wide angle captures.... purposely blurring for image effects... a bunch of processing that work best on a unadulterated image... that if you work with a jpg as you most likely thought. have you ever dealt with photography? as in opposed to quick snapping images when run-visiting vaticano as a part of a time limited "guided tour"?

Huawei propably paid DxOmark to get their review out so they have first place for a moment to help sales.
