skimminstones, 28 Sep 2019hope this can be uninstalled. Ive no intention of ever usin... moreI also do hope that we can uninstall it. But I don't think that the case unless you root your phone. As with "normal" Youtube, or Gmail, or Chrome, all we can do is disable them, and maybe, use ADB to hide it for good. Out of sight, out of mind.
It may depend on the phone manufacturers to include it or not (this I'm not sure of how Google licensing their GApps works though, sorry).

And i will disable it like all other google apps that i dont use.

[deleted post]My actual point was going to be that if Google didn't supply certain apps they get moaned at for not supplying the basics and if they do they get moaned at for wasting onboard space.

Even the pixel and Nokia android one devices can't uninstall things like YouTube, I've been on a lot of brand forums and see the argument both sides and the only way to sort it would be to not have them physically installed until you choose to have them in your initial device setup, that way the apps aren't sitting dormant if you don't want them but if you do they'll appear after you've setup ...I personally disable about 20 to 30 things on every device I've had

[deleted post]I can handle it, I was having a giggle...or attempting to.

Unless you own the net you can't tell me to get off...I would have apologised for being rude but I've just this moment ran out of fks , unless you want to order and I'll send one through when they are next in stock :-)

As said I was attempting to be funny but it came out wrong

Notsure, 28 Sep 2019The bad part is that even if you disable these parasite app... moreNot surprising as these people are hellbent on meddling with the upcoming US elections under the pretense of Responsible Innovation.

What some countries did to Microsoft (IExplorer bundling) should be applied to Google (default apps) as well. Fair game.

Actually most of people need just google services, not google apps. I'd like to change grey unusable google maps to something more visible and relevant. YouTube working better in chrome after adblock. Music, movies, books - absolutely unnecessary. Only play store

CommonSense, 28 Sep 2019Then Huawei is your best next phone xDNo thank you. I'd rather not.

I can understand why you said that, but I'd like to stay with a brand that is not going to be banned/barred from future developments.

Both apps are trash for local gallery.
Im using Powerampfor 2 years almost...Clearly its the best Player.
For online listening i use mostly YT or Gaana+

hope this can be uninstalled. Ive no intention of ever using it no matter how much google seem to push it on people.

As long as we can disable it like most Google apps. I don't even use Chrome. I prefer Kiwi Browser instead.

Question remains here, will it work in background too just like Play Music as we all know yt music requires subscription for this feature.

I hate Google for this, more useless apps that we don't use but you are forced to have it. Plus all the apps that manufacturers are adding. I wish the customers have a choice to install what they want without going the root way.
I hope 2020 bring another OS that can compete with android and iOs and give users more freedom and privacy.

What about countries where YT music isn't even available? Like for Pakistan? What's the point of it being pre-installed when it's not even gonna work? There is no point of making it pre installed because you can always download from play store.

LG Superfan, 28 Sep 2019It will replace GP Music so you have same number of bloatwareI wish they let us install nano/pico version instead super bloated "stock" version. Maybe Gaaps aroma instaler upon phone setup? With pico selected by default. Might happen if google got hit HARD with antitrust/anticompetition/etc
