Because anything more expensive would be waste of money because any 400 eur device does same tricks like the more expensive ones.

Anonymous, 01 Oct 2019yeah must be why switch with that button layout is failing /sArrogance gets you nothing.
Switch controllers have been failing, and Nintendo has agreed to fix them for free of charge. So don't go on thinking that they've built the best hardware out there.

And if you think I'm the only one who has issues with the ergonomics of the Switch you'd be dead wrong. Majority of owners say the same thing as I have: the right joystick should've been at the top. It's just wrong right now and leads to accidental touches on something like Mario Maker, or leads to cramps playing something like Doom.

Here, I'll prove it, watch this video:

For gaming you want to focus on ergonomics, and not what "looks good" (a la Nintendo Switch). Having the joysticks at the top means the device is more comfortable to hold while using them, instead of a smaller grip if they were on the bottom. And having the action buttons below means you can hit them rather quickly by moving your thumb downwards, without much pressure. Or you can slide your grip lower and use the buttons like a classic controller (ie SNES).

If you invert this, so that the joysticks are on the bottom and the action buttons are on the top you have some issues. First is the reduced grip of using shoulder buttons with the joysticks. Second is the big one, where you might only want to use the classic buttons, but now your inner-palm will be accidentally touching the joystick, and you might cause the phone to register something accidentally.

This is also why edged-screens are bad, and thin sides are bad, from an ergonomic standpoint. This device is okay, but if you want something better for gaming, either get an iPhone for the more optimised Apps/Software or get an ASUS RoG Phone 2. A PSP Go might be just as portable, but its outdated now, and a Nintendo Switch isn't really that portable (requires a purse or a backpack).

Touchpad is a exciting addition. But unfortunately, its not supported by Google directly.

So games have to be installed from a separate source. Will they steal your in game data? Maybe. And limited to a few choice of games.

I rather they made this a Windows 10 device, with Steam controller like controls. So one may play Keyboard / mouse game on the go. Like the GpdWin.

Or Google Stadia and improve remote stream gaming.

              Get a ROG 2

Only a 4000mah battery. They lost me. I would chew that in 2hrs... PASS

Getting the Asus ROG 2 instead, as Asus have actually thought about what gamers need in a gaming phone..

Nobody gonna buy Blackshark 2, Nubia Red Magic 3, RAZR Phone 2.

ASUS has dropped a bomb this year annihlating all other gaming devices.

Don't buy it. Their support is nonexistent and they haven't released kernel sources for BS2 claiming they would do it in August. Also it's not rootable and the OC is just a gimmick as there is no real OC just anothef governor that sets cpu clocks to max
