Anonymous, 08 Mar 2012It's not only overly expensive, it's also overly bulky. BTW... moreEveryone from time to time needs some jewelery :-) When you stary making more and more money your taste starts to get more and more refined, and you just like being surrounded by nice objects. Why have an ugly, plastic nexus, when you may have a nice alu/wood device. It probably doeasn't do anything better, but it makes you more happy while using it. That's the same reason why people spend excta thousands of € or $ to fit better stereos in they new cars. You will spend time in traffic anyway, but at least listening to quality music :-)

Here come the trolls. Any time a post is made regarding luxury phones, the poor crawl from the woodwork to commit class warface and lament that which they cannot afford.

The difference between the rich and the poor is that while you require technology to perform tasks for you, in general the wealthy will have teams, or at the very least an assitant whom has been delegated the mundane.

Many rich people would probably buy this phone to use as a paper weight. They don't give a monkeys about spec's as long as they can make calls and send emails whilst striking a pose in their glorious aston martin

It's not only overly expensive, it's also overly bulky. BTW, I never understood the need for jewelry phones. What do owners do when they get old? Throw them away? Do they have any resell value? Apart from gold, the other materials, once shaped, don't have any recycle value.

That is just plain sad, a Nexus S?? Aston Martin should of pick a better phone like a Nokia 808 or a Arc S for this Edition!

Someone should make a slip-on case for the Nexus S that transforms it into the Mobiado Aston Martin. Wait a minute...someone already did that, someone named Mobiado...!

"Not that you are going to be bothered, because to buy this device, you'll need to have more money than sense."

                      Well said, GSMarena!

For the record, most rich people are not stupid - there's usually a reason why they're rich and we're not.

But rich people with enough sense will realize "aircraft aluminum" and "solid copper" are not exactly exotic or even premium material. A premium price tag for a premium product - like an actual Aston Martin is good.
                      This, is unfortunately not.

the nexus s sucks... in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy S (i9000) why not make a S2 model of it or Galaxy Nexus? who buys this...?

Aston Martin should never have let their name be associated with this PoS.

More junk from this company trying to rip you off with cheap phones with expensive prise tags. This Aston Martin phone will not even be the same class like the cars its try to associate its self with.

Their rumoured Aston touchscreen was to be completely transparent. Nothing but aluminum and glass. I would have paid a fortune for that... Gold and airplane metals don't really entice. Then again, they're not making these to entice me. On a whim, a year ago, I contacted them on pricing of their phones. They came back with an email that basically said:

                                  1. The phone you want is out of stock
                                  2. We don't ship to your country (USA), please provide an address in another country.
                                  3. The phone I was interested in could be bought for $7,000 if the above conditions were met

I was confused by the first fact, and laughed at the second. The third, I could afford, but would regret every day I looked at the device ;) I realized then and there Mobiado is most likely a shill.
