This will start as the coolest toy amongst those who have it, but will quickly become a PR nightmare for Samsung as they all start breaking.

I disagree with people saying the ones who'd buy it, won't much care about fragility.

If you buy a newest, concept Ferrari, would you drive it like a mountain climbing vehicle, on rough terrain with no support for miles? Or would you rather care for it like a baby?

Anonymous, 02 Oct 2019'Crappy OS'? And you expect your opinion to be taken seriously?I don't care if you do or if you don't. It's indeed a crappy mobile OS because it's very buggy, highly inefficient, and heavily fragmented. Also, its Play Store is full of so many shitty low-quality and malicious apps that Google can't manage the situation anymore no matter how hard they try. There are new reports of malware being found on it all the time, it's basically the new norm now. It's so bad that I'm thinking about going back to iPhones, and I probably will next year after the newly redesigned ones come out. It's sad because after almost a decade of using Android smartphones I thought Google would get their shit together by now. If it hasn't happened by now then it never will so adios!

This is a niche device for those who wants to look apart from others. They dont have to worry about it being fragile as well :-) But its extremely tiny audience but will sell well within that group. Probably million or 2 world wide sales for 1st gen.

I hope 2nd or 3rd gen device gets more mainstream in terms of design and hopefully the price goes down as well to target high end phone crowd(who buy 512GB or 1TB phones !!!).

[deleted post]You're wrong! Infact, you'll be surprised if you knew that how many Indians even buy iPhones that cost way more than US.

$7.5B and counting in just 36hrs for premium smartphone sales and that too just Amazon sales.

[deleted post]Sigh, this device may not sell well but there's a market for premium devices in India. Atleast a million devices are sold in that price range. Will you accept if I stereotype your country?

To be honest, I would have definitely considered buying this phone if it was not so fragile!

That form factor also makes it really difficult to get a good enough protection.
