Apple’s Deep Fusion photography arrives with iOS 13.2 Beta

It will be available to Public Beta users once iOS 13.2 is available.

Isn't it the thing they mentioned that analyses and takes temporary pictures for Machine Learning before you press the shutter button?
In that case it can create a 3D map and analyse the colours of things before taking the picture then does an image stacking of 9 photos.
So it differs from image stacking as that works at 3+ different standard exposure levels.

We shall wait and see.

Everybody doe... moreOf course it’s partially a variation and progression of an existing process, what were you expecting, each time you press the shutter a little fella will pop out of the phone and sculpt an image for you????

    No, what’s new is this is the first time the NPU will be chiefly responsible for processing the finished image, using machine learning. I’m gonna wait to see those finished results before I either sing praise or offer critique.

    I get it though, fanboys gotta make themselves feel relevant......

I dont think apple is willing to keep the data local on the devices and spend hundreds millions on another data base when thay can collect all the data from the devices for free.
