Anonymous, 03 Oct 2019This deletes things on your side. Things are never deleted... moreAt least they give u the option to delete instead of not letting u know they are collecting data but no control at all like iOS.

Google has lost the trust of the world. Good luck with spreading more lies.

Things are never deleted on server side, there is always a backup copy.

i actually am okay with google collecting data about me, as long as this data is only communicated between machines and with no human intervention. this is simply the future- for the machines help you live a more productive, enjoyable life, i.e. by automation, these data needs to be collected. i really like it that ads served to me on websites i go to are those that i am interested in, otherwise they would be a nuisance. i like it that youtube presents only videos i am interested in, otherwise it would be a pain to search for them again. i love it that google assistant is able to sense that i am home and asks me if i want to continue listening on the connected speaker to the playlist i was listening to on my way home, otherwise i would have to ask it myself. i really like it that google assistant senses it is almost my bedtime, so it would gather the news i want to hear before going to sleep. i definitely am awed by the fact that google assistant knows i have just risen from the bed and starts reading to me my schedules for the day. i love it that google reminds me of my bill due dates, or that there have been changes to my flight, even that the sale i looked into in an online store is about to end, and it presents options for gifts i can give my wife a day before our wedding anniversary.

Doesn't concern me since I had deleted and turned off all the My Activity settings for all my Google accounts.

It's even more pervasive than that. The web world uses interlinked advertising, trackers and hacks, to track user movements between sites, and work out who they are. So, even if Google never stores anything about you from your end, they could still work out who you are and what you have done through this back end. The only solution is to approach the EU to strictly ban all these tracking activities with jail terms, as the spying, stalking, government, private and corporate espionage they really are. Then the rest of the world would have to take notice.

I don't care if I have to pay a tenth a cent to view a page in compensation to a website. A million pages read a month equals $10k. They probably get less from many flood advertising schemes.

Far out! Maps needs a privacy mode, of course it 100% should be on as standard, otherwise that would be spying and stalking. Have they figured out a way to direct pipe to government servers so your data doesn't need to be on their servers. And YouTube needs location!!!! Come on guys, this is unacceptable!

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2019Wohoo, now you can choose the way you want to be their bus... moreMaybe you're right. But at the end, the power is in People. The morepeople awake, the better. But just saying. Meah, bla bla, google does it anyway... is plain stupid. If all android and google users as a protest against googles scheme of doing business would stop using it's services for just one day every week every month for one year, then go even more if there is no response, google might just turn your friendly spiderman in no time, after all, no user, no power. So actually the ultimate power is in the people, would they awake?

At most, you'll be able to partially choose in private how to share with them your private data. LOL

or they should just let people be able to log out of their accounts within the app and not force this Google 1 bullshit.
My sister used my phone to stream make up tutorials on my chromecast when she visited and even with their "incognito" option their ad A.I still picked it up. Even when I deleted the history because they still save it on their server side. I still get recommendations and also Ads for make up...

Typical useless Google once again "not getting it". Where's the "never remember anything ever again" option to switch the whole damn thing off in permanent incognito mode?

No, I didn't think so, that'd be too sensible.
