Microsoft Surface Neo is coming next year with two 9" screens and a 360-degree hinge

02 October 2019
It's going to be a very long wait for what could be described as the spiritual successor to the Courier.

Foldable screens might be clever, but they're incredibly fragile. This looks like a much better solution. I don't seen the gap between the 2 screens as a problem, it's more like a physical book: whoever said they needed the writing to go right up to the fold ?

U aren't seeing the big picture here and not all companies have to go on the same direction. This is product diversity. I have imagine as Book as well a Laptop when u add the board which as 2 options of interactions with or without trackpads. It's a great product for whoever seeks products like hybrids (surface go, lenovo miix, Asus, etc). For other segments they have other products like Pro X, Surface 7, Laptop Surface 3, etc. This will be good for Microsoft and the consumer.

it has so much bezels around and ummm its 2 individual screens if it was only one display it was quite better and that little gap right between 2 displays has ruined everything and if it was bigger was more useful umm most parts are okay but really the display sucks like if it was a foldable display and an arm processer like the one that apple is using on ipad pro with that amazing power and power efficiency right now it has 2 problems first chipset isnt for future second display sucks

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2019I don’t see the use case for something like this. What am ... moreIt's for those wanting something new and different from what everyone else has. That's pretty much it as far as I can see.

I think some games can be optimized for it. Multiplayer games when it is in "tent mode" and each player has their own screen which the other can't see.

Far too heavy for this form factor. Needs to be under a kilo.

I'll buy one, when the size of does side bezels is reduced!

naive1926, 03 Oct 201964bit on X86?Yup. Intel lakefield, same excitement when haswell was released.

Whereby haswell introduce us to low power computing. this one gonna push that limit to mobile standard.

                                    64bit on X86?

Good that it still run intel. Still can enjoy that sweet sweet x86 applications.

And hopefully at that time when usb 4 becomes mainstream.(Thunderbolt 3) Then couple this with a egpu, not bad for the occasional gaming.

Problem is weight.. 1.3kg is very heavy for that standard.

My absolute favourite feature is the keyboard. It looks lit.
