Anonymous, 08 Mar 2012No it's mean you just use your device without thinkin techn... moreAbsolutely AGREE...!!! I have both iOS and Android, and yes the greeny robot is spec-hungry while iOS not. I'm using iPhone 4S and iPad, Galaxy S2 and my couple has Galaxy Tab 10.1 and iPhone 4. Well what can we say? IOS more smooth on old-spec hardware such as its processor or even RAM
For example, dragging menu to homescreen on my couple's Galaxy Tab 10.1 so laggy. Not rooten yet. It has dualcore while my old iPad still using 1GHz single core s(ame as old Galaxy Tab 7 P1000). Hell yeah angry birds could forced close sumtime on android without reason.
Actually iOS hardware is old-fashioned as I mentioned above, I mean hello? 2012 with 512 ram? U must be kidding me apple lol, but the final conclusions are Apple has incredibly OS that don't need trully-high spec on its hardware (processor or RAM) to make a smooth and stable experience for user.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2012"We think technology is best when it's invisible"... moreNo it's mean you just use your device without thinkin technology behind it.

Android users always think technology but don't realise that you also need stuffs which benefit that technology.

Apple has 200 000 thing to benefit that :)

this is good example, if everything runs fast and perfectly smooth you don't need to think which proseccor this use or how many ram etc.

For example today android fans have been talking about quad core cpu etc. I know android need that and it still laggy. So i understand why you need to have those big numbers and still have to disappoint with performance, but that's not the case. Everythinh what you are going to get for your new iOS device is going to be run extremely well so users don't need to think those things :) If they test it they are sold, not because speclist but because the feeling and user experience what they get when they test it in store.

I tested last samsung tab and transformer prime and both wasn't as near fluid as iPad 2!

If anyone is raving on about the quad-core gpu, have a look at the transformer prime with its 12 core gpu

It's definitely a Dual-Core Processor. Here is officially from Apple:
              http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/

There are two imaginary cores for iFans only.

Or in other words, youve got nothing else to show!
Take a sit back Apple and let the real companies do their work

why is apple scared to reveal the speed the processor is clocked at????tegra 3 devices have 1.5 quadcore.
all apple could come up with was a dualcore but wht speed it is clocked at?
also how much gb RAM??DDR2 or DDR3??

All these specs should have been on iPad 2, as Retina was already available. I am a 4S user myself and very happy with the device and iOS, but please Apple, don't get lazy thinking we'll buy anything you offer us because for example something as Retina (which has become my standard) is suddenly WOW!

Peter, 08 Mar 2012Completely agree with you. At home we own 2 iPad2 and 1 iPa... moreI totally agree. I have an iPad 2 at home most of the time. Productivity apps are not user friendly at all, no matter how many versions, updates. It is just not compatible, especially when you have to type, edit and do other functions with Microsoft Office, be it excel, word or powerpoint. Editing is painful on iPad. You have to learn all kinds of different apps to perhaps perform a simple function. Its becoming more like searching and learning all these apps. Open an app for pictures, Open an app to do notes, Open an app for music, Open an app to view clips, Open an app to watch youtube etc... which is to keep searching an app to do something.

Yeah, whatever. I won't be buying it. Not because it isn't a great product, but because Apple have become the machine they once despised - an all powerful, all controlling corporate monster. It used to be that Windows were the bad guys and the more interesting people had Macs and were something different. Now everyone has i-toys and still imagine themselves to be individuals. Hear that bell ringing? It's Apple calling on you to close your minds and open your wallets, and like Pavlov's dogs, you will, time and time again.

I have iPad 2, no need for the New iPad, there's nothing major updated about it.

Why do ppl compare android's market share with IOS?
Android is available on what number of devices?
If you have samsung, LG, motorola, sony etc, providing android and only 4-5 devices providing (not sure on the availability of older iphones and ipads) IOS, then the figure 48% is shameful for android.
Capturing close to 28% of the market with only 4-5 devices is an achievement.

Apple always do good product, the new ipad has no significant improvement. Apple need to concentrate more on development of ground breaking products. in the last 2 years so much of apple energy has gone into litigation. i have all the apple major product in my home (macbook, ipad, iphone, ipodtouch) but this ipad3 make no sense.
