To be quite honest, I'm much more curious about the non-pro variant of X2 coming to Europe... If it was priced similarly to Mi 9 Lite or even less, it would absolutely wreck the midrange market. It would be weird if they just went for the flagship.

AFIK Realme X got bootloader unlock option 6 months after release by which time the phone lost a lot of developer appeal. If they do this, the phone will be as iconic and beloved as the Original OnePlus One.

If this is coming to southeast asia with aggressive price, Xiaomi will be really doomed. I mean, it's been Mi9T now and they NEVER sell it here in my country. People are tired and slowly switching to Samsung A, Realme, Vivo and Oppo (BBK wins here). Xiaomi always sell their phone through flash sale and price difference between official price and actual price on the market (due to limited stock, seller price it higher).
Meanwhile, since the beginning, BBK really control the price. It NEEDS to be the same price as they announce it everywhere. Even a little different price, BBK will stop the partnership with the seller.
And why is seller willing to obey and stick to BBK official price? They will be paid as much as around $35 FOR EACH PHONE sold.
And they succeed.
