Limiting size of app is ok. But for any file? Symbian or Android don't have such applish limits. What's the use of 3G/4G if one can't download more than 50 MB file?

ridder215, 08 Mar 2012Hey, guess what? Google did this a few days ago.No. Google did that years ago. You're mistaken, what Google din recently was increased the app size limit for 'developers'.
Apple increased the download size limit for the 'end users' for downloading apps if you're using 3G/HSPA.
In android market, if you're downloading a large file size app there is an advise to use wifi for downloading but you also have the prerogative to use your 3G/HSPA for it. Great for those who have better 3G download speed than their home broadband.
Good thing that Apple increased the limit but it feels insufficient to me. There are many apps from App Store that surpass 100MB in file size and I have to connect to my slow broadband to download it, whereas I can download it faster if I just use my 3G/HSPA.
It would be great if they removed the limit altogether for the benefit of users with unlimited data plan and always on the go.
