Were they still manufacturing the 6S only two months ago? They don't even sell them on apple.com, and they even stopped selling the 7 already! The dates seem wrong.

He mainly chooses to repair Apple devices because there is a huge demand for it in his current location. He simply shares the video because he wants to help other DIYers like him. People supported him not because they are hyped but because his content does make sense.
If you're a DIYer yourself, you should know what you're getting into. Tutorials are rendered as free and you should never blame the person that you based your knowledge if you don't know how to do it yet. In DIY, failure is inevitable and that's part of the learning process. Forcing the person to help you on your DIY project is downright disrespectful.
Apple does overcharge for their support and it's NOT a LITTLE concern. Your logic that a wrong doing can be justified by another wrong-doing is counter-intuitive. Louis Rossman won't approve that no matter which brand of device it is. His content just talks more about Apple because that's what his business were into. If Samsung does that then he'll trashtalk that too. Do you get my point here?

This is absolutely insane to me to learn that they were still making these phones this year! What would be the purpose? These phones are out of even the most extended warranty at this point. I mean, I was quite sure they stopped producing even iPhone 8s and just selling out on leftover stock. This is crazy!

Samsung note 7 and fold of course but which other samsung device has been recalled and service programs in place, apple have had so many, half their macbook and macbook pro and air line up have had issues and repair programs have been put in place because if class action lawsuits

Proofing Apple overcharge for support means little. Why? other companies does it also!!
1. Do other companies overcharge as well? YES. but no news will bring it up.. because there is no HYPE.
2. Does other companies overcharge their devices. YES. However they know their junk can’t compare..and will not sell if they price it above Apple.

I dont know why apple initiate this recall only AFTER 5 years past since this iphone 6S/ iphon 6S plus released date! now that most owners of iphone of this models has this issue likely throw away their iphone 6s/ 6s plus that wont turn on because they think is not worth fixing it anymore and no more warranty. kinda wise approach that they know there is likely 1% left of this iphone 6s / 6s plus has this issue and most of them are just in the trash now! Just washing hands. Why not do it while this is still hot and fresh in the market like within 2 years of usage!

I checked my local stores offer and they sell iPhone 6s, but for the same price I could get Huawei P20, Honor 10 or Asus Zenfone 5z, all from last year with much better specs.
And iPhone 6s Plus is at the same price point as this years Xiaomi Mi 9T.
So I don't think emerging markets will have it much cheaper than that.

One he on gsm showed that while android had about 80 to 90% of sales... including a few others.. not just android and ios...
And the numbers litterally flipped for the profit margin. Litterally.
And another article then showed how ios also had a dramatic world lead in mobile os app crashes. It lasted at least 5 years too.

iPhone 6s was being manufactured till August, but Apple is not even selling it anymore on their website. So were they manufacturing it, because they knew they messed up with some models and will need replacements?
I can't think of a better reason why any manufacturer would still produce outdated hardware.

dude111, 05 Oct 2019Wonder where did you get that "60% profit" nonsenseWell for example the 64gb iPhone X costs only $370 to manufacture for a $999 phone! Even if you add in another $200-$300 as R&D, sales distribution costs, you still end up with close to 40-50% profit.
Add in the money made by most obvious purchased accesories like 3.5mm adaptor, 18W quick charge accessory, Original Apple cases, Lighting to Type-C cables they sell to be used with the Mac, that's overall close to 60% profit right there!
