And the software is more cartoony and childish than iOS! If I had to choose I'd pick iOS over said wannabe software because it's inherently fast and very reliable.

You sound like someone who's never owned or used a real premium smartphone before, or anything premium for that matter. Forget about the specs for a second, you can literally feel the difference between a cheap plasticy device and a top-tier one.

Well color me surprised. Two of the cheapest low-end smartphone brands are doing well in a country like India. Wow, what an accomplishment! Next you'll tell me the Earth revolves around the Sun lol.

Xiaomi phones are one time purchase only, ones u get a phone then sometime later u won't gonna buy from Xiaomi again.. personal experience. They launch successor of a model very next month.. and the worst part is their cartoonish software

Realme uses cheap plasti... moreI don't prefer the later of your options the more they make premium the more they break for example glass front and back is a joke prone to breakage, people will say put a cover on it but what's the point in having all premium without being able to show it off right, at least with the plastic you know where you are with it.

all i gotta say as an ex xiaomi user (miMax1) is this. my galaxy a20 feels more premium than Top Range Xiaomi phones and has better oled than the new Redmi 8pro or whatever its called. it costed me just 160 euro. at first glance you cant tell difference...only after a few days use. for example sturdiness of volume buttons and how the screen is incorporated in frame and not sticking out like a slapped on lcd. os is also much more polished. yeah i know its not snapdragon and cant handle multitasking as well as budget xiaomi BUT the tradeoff is 100% worthwile...also its true that the glass on xiaomi /redmi is fragile despite being gorilla 5 or whatever and i think i know why; glass thichness

Realme uses cheap plastic back and cheap front glass so they can sell it cheaper than Redmi. How do we know that Realme put cheap glass? They've already preinstalled tempered glass to protect the main glass from easy scratch. That's why their phone's weight are so light. It's up to wether u like cheap feeling body rather than more premium glass n heavier phone. I prefer the second one.

Xiaomi ang Huawei need to collaborate and create their own OS. China and India makes up 2.7 billion people. They can do well within those two countries.
