Shame to HuaWei marketing. Too high handed way of treating consumers like us. I have just stop using HuaWei due to their arrogant way of respect for us.

Here Maps for Google Maps
Opera Browser for Chrome Browser
Amazon Appstore for Google Playstore
Microsoft Cortana for Google Assistant
Microsoft Office for Google Docs
Microsoft Outlook for Gmail
Microsoft OneDrive for Google Drive

Surely Huawei could have figured this out and preloaded these apps or offered links to them?

Things like Google Search, Google Maps, Google Docs, Gmail, YouTube and Netflix can also be accessed via the web browser.

it's never about the google apps, it's about the day-to-day apps, singpass mobile and dbs/uob/ocbc etc mobile banking apps. these are the governmental and banking apps that only come officially from google play on a non-rooted phone to work simply because these apps serve as a digital token for 2FA verifications. can huawei solve that in Singapore?

Google apps is not the be all end all. Its the same with Apple Store. Also windows ver IOS, what about Linux?
Anyways, look at it for this point of view - Tinfoil hats an what not less tracking from main stream apps. Goes both ways not saying you don't get issues with Huawei HomeApps

elbot1234, 07 Oct 2019No Google Play Services, no buyImagine. People lived before Spygle 'services', used smartphones and did overall pretty well.
Waiting for P50 Pro with Harmony OS without 'services'.
PS Huawei Appgallery is pretty rich right now, wonder what it is after a year and a billion dollars. (Not that i care, Spydroid is evil.)

AnonD-843592, 07 Oct 2019When will the Mate 30 Pro come to Denmark, Europe? I rea... moreIt's not about Google apps. People can live without it. It's about others apps, games that need play services to work. There is a chance that one of your daily app need play service for it to work. So it renders your phone useless. All you do is browsing and take selfie all day haha. Maybe Hauwei need to create kidOS soon otherwise this android phone no good lol.

I really want to buy it and I don't care about non-Google support.

yep it was silently released (in a limited fashion) here in Singapore. but really, no one here in their right mind will spend so much for a phone that does not work with essential Google-powered apps. if the camera is all you're after then why not buy a mirrorless camera or entry-level DSLR cam for about the same price?
