Functionally, it's a non-issue. Aesthetically, however, that's not a great look for a $1,980 phone.

      Khuan, 09 Oct 2019My current Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, global version for Malaysia... moreThe quality and technology isn't the same, just like iPhone 11/ 11 Pro, it has it (expensive) price range, you can't ask iPhone to sell at xiaomi price and you get all the merit from it, but recently iPhone is less innovative only increase the camera quantity and battery capacity not much improved don't get me wrong it's still a good phone at least it also improves the build quality too (but with the ugly notch and camera module setup). Sony improved many part and bring new technology, it really step up the game compared to iPhone. US and EU still don't appreciate cheaper Xiaomi.

        And I strongly believe that from MIUI 11 onwards, Xiaomi Redmi will not have any ads anymore in order to compete with Realme.

        I don't use SONY because it's phones are all overpriced than SAMSUNG.

I know China have much more ads on Xiaomi products but US and UK rarely people know it, unlike Huawei, the Trump also "help" to "promote" Huawei, so now the Huawei is very famous as the trade war between US and China. One more thing music quality is better on Xperia I have try both of it. And you must hold both of it the quality you can compare yourself, it has a word craftsmanship that makes difference!

Last year my S9 (blue) developed faded, discoloration on the fingerprint scanner... and I don't EVER use fingerprint scanners. I have never used it.

                                  We already saw how easy those letters peel off in a jerry rig everything durability test, no surprise here, that's just one of the many problems it has. Only question is why are they selling this thing?
