Selling SE2 made from refurbrished 6, 6S, 7 and 8 devices were always apple speciality aôso they add their typical superexpensive pricing.

Nimble, 11 Oct 2019Oh really? ask Sony about the Battery life of their compact... moreAs a longtime user of the Compact series I can tell you that the only good thing about the Compact series is the battery life. It has a shitty display (not to mention it's only 720p), the camera is shitty, the phone is very thick and bulky for its screen size, and it's cubic design means it's uncomfortable to use. Unfortunately, the unoptimised nature of Android means that OEM can't make an Android phone as small as and as good as Apple's.

IMO, the SE is overrated, after an hour of maximum CPU load the phone's lowest temperature is 37.2 °C (99 °F) and the highest being 44.2 °C (112 F). That's hot, hotter than any other iPhone. The fact that it gets warm all over would be annoying.
Well, I'm using a Nokia Lumia 925 as a daily driver and the temperatures are even worse under an hours of maximum CPU load, lowest temperature - 32.1 °C (90 °F) which is actually pretty cool but the maximum is 47.0 °C (117 F). That's extremely hot, couldn't even hold the phone for 30 seconds. However, during normal use, it can get quite warm, but still acceptable for me. I was expecting worse to be honest. Going to use the 925 until December as a temporary phone.

The so called iPhone ‘SE2’ is most probably coming between mid to late March 2020 with 64GB & 128GB storage option with a starting price of $349 to $399. It may also come in Midnight Green or the other new colours like Purple etc..

I don't understand the SE2 rumours. Apple still builds and sells the 8 on as a current model; to make a cheaper version they would have to strip it down, not upgrade it with A13 etc.

The move is good because compact phones are "endangered species" now. Only compact phone with flagship grade cpu is Samsung Galaxy S10e.
$499 or $599, whatever is the price, If apple still keeps the LCD display in 2019 and calls it - "This is the best LCD display on the planet", then its mocking its customers again.
In 2019, phones costing more $399 should offer oled panels whatever be the size, otherwise they are not worth it. Dark mode is of no use, no battery savings. Apple just wants to rip off its customer using same old phone parts and gimmicky marketing.
