This is actually a good thing. Just use one of the adapters and earbuds you have lying in that big box of electronics junk. There is no need to manufacture and sell more of that stuff.

I have owned Nexus 5, 6 and 6P and big fan of stock android experience but Pixel never really appealed due to it's weird design and high prices but Pixel 4 is too much now. Google is literally copying Apple and as a technology enthusiast it sickens me.
