If you register your fingerprint with cheap screen protector instaled, it will register protector's patern, instead of your fingerprint. If you will register fingerprint, and then apply protector, then I think is safe to assume, you would not be able to login to your phone anymore. It's even isn't a flow - that basicaly how system works. Or if you would register someone's else fingerprint, and then will complain to samsung, it also will be Samsung's fault?

Cheap protectors for cheap phones are okay.

Natwest may have removed the app from the store, but the app's fingerprint login still works fine for me on the S10. So, on that basis, it makes no difference to the millions of users who already use the app.
