But the recent launch of A3 has left me disappointed as it has 720p display and mere upgrade of their processor from SD 660 (A2) to SD 665 in A3.

      Also, 2 things:

      1. It is being rumored that they won't be focusing on their A series too much, as their A2 device impacted the sales of their non Stock (MIUI) phones.

      2. They are bad with handling with upgrades. An upgrade in their recent devices has raised many concerns by their users. In few cases, there were reports of random reboot of the device post upgrade of Android to a newer version. They need to learn from Nokia, whose community is very committed to their existing users. Even with a bad\buggy update, Nokia is quickly providing the fix.

But this trend of notches/punch-holes is annoying me to no end. I can barely find any phones nowadays without these obnoxious notch or holes and most of them are over my budget.

This trend needs to die and that too fast.

I love moto series due to clean android no fuss no mess like Samsung, LG, Sony etc and competitive price.
The only downgrade is notch i hate it. Notch, pop up camera, waterdrop notch punchhole one etc just no.

I am looking for Android 10 with Stock Android, and had high hopes with G8 series. But they are launching this device with Pie. Everything looks good in this device, but outdated OS left me unimpressed.

May be they launch G8S with Android 10.

If this is priced ($220) like the Moto G7 Plus (4/64GB), then I think they have a winner!

I think this is better than the Moto One Vision, the only "downgrade" is the use of that weird 19:9 aspect ratio instead of a Standardised Ultrawide 21:9 ratio. I think in February 2020 Lenovo will adopt this trend for the Moto G9 Plus.

I think Moto One Vision is better option than Motorola G8 Plus
