AnonD-706668, 25 Oct 2019Who told you EIS is enough ? It is for me. Also for most people here. Gcam port can take great photos for social account, for pro photos use a dedicated camera, they don't even cost that much.
It's not like phones with OIS take photos better than non-ois phones anyway. Just the software processing.

It's function is reduced due to nature of wide angle, and only good for static object. Any thing moving will still be blur. It's just not many will want to pay additional for it. If you can afford it, then just get it, but definitely not even close to the top consideration for most people especially with advance night mode.
All I see is you are just posting every where bashing on lack of OIS, don't get those phone then. No point bashing all over.

The reason i believe is that not many people in india can afford samsungs or iphones because of the price and the wage rate.which is why they can afford cheaper phones like xiaomi and realme

Movable parts, delicate and precision hardware. One drop and your OIS may just go dead. And dead OIS may cause lens misalignment, impairing image quality

Not everyone is willing to pay additional $100+ just for a phone with OIS. OIS is only truly useful for long focal length, wide angle does not utilise full potential of OIS!

Samsung is slowly dying, with only their flagship line saving them. Look at the entry level and mid range and you'll see they have been decimated by chinese brands.

Maybe samsung lost 3% in total number of sales, but it's monetary market share is sure number one. While people buy oppo, realme and xiaomi from low end price points.. usually samsung buyers are galaxy A series and S series.. which are mid to high end range phones

If your thinking is the only important aspect for a smartphone is just the camera alone and with "OIS" at that, why not go buy a camera instead and stop complaining. harwey, 25 Oct 2019You shoud check GSMA`s review of Mi9.It has no OIS but good... moreFuji ? What is this ? I like Sony a6000L mirrorless camera more. Don’t need sensor based image stabaliztion. only Lens based OIS is enough for lowlight handheld shooting.
