Secondly yes it has 26gb accessible the the user however it is still advertised as a 32gb unit (fact), and as for the radio matter, it does have a radio. When I say who cares, I was speaking purely for myself.

So please grow up. You cannot argue against ones opinion.

AnonD-21645, 20 Mar 2012Your tone is totally unacceptable, but I'll forgive you due... moreCouldn't agree with you more about the memory options on the latest smart phones. 32GB is nothing these days, and as you said, only about 26GB is available to the user. Was really looking forward to the Sony S, but will give it a miss after I found out about this issue.

Maybe they are trying to copy the iPhone, but for me this is not a plus.

If you have done any research on the phone then you would know that it DOESNT have 26gb memory only. It comes with (FACT) 32gb built in and 26gb via dropbox online storage free for 2yrs.

** 32gb (generally speaking) means you lose about 4gb in the conversion (across all memory cards, etc.) plus operating system, etc. I'd say 26gb is about the right amount of memory on the actual handset. We're not talking about battery-sucking impractical alternatives to simply having a memory card slot here...

Radio??? Who cares. There's apps for that (as iPhone users have always been known to say)

** Well, quite a lot of people do - and again, internet radio destroys battery, and of course depends on whether you have unlimited data and / or signal... moot point again from you... what we're talking about is taking away basic features from a flagship, not relying on a 3rd party app...

Decent camera? Again do your research. If you watch the videos from MWC you willl come to know that the HTC ONE X was one of the biggest announcements and the camera is what stole the show. It was only overlooked when Nokia made their announcement of the 808 Pureview.

**Again, looking past marketing announcements - hands-on previews of the camera have already showed disappointing photo results... as always, HTC cameras are feature-rich and on paper 'sound' excellent - but in reality and working with past performance, what they are doing now may only just compete against the likes of Nokia, Sony or Sammy... again the jury is out on that one!

There's nothing wrong with being loyal to a manufacturer, but blind loyalty is often misplaced...

I really like the X, I think in terms of appearance, it's still too close to every other HTC released in the past 3 or 4 years, but it does look impressive in white...

I think most of the specs are excellent, but, taking away basic features like radio and expandable memory (in particular) is inexcusable - for a device that centres around HD and games, etc. to give customers 26gb (approx!) is unacceptable for ANY flagship - this goes for Sony too... people need more not less, especially for a £500 phone...

                    well, I want a HTC.
I had 2 Samsungs, and now I have a HTC, this is my first one.
And with Samsung I had FC's and the phones were not very stable, also from the software side they are not very polished. I kept going back after a few days to my iPhone 4.
With the HTC I am not tempted to go back to iPhone, the only problem I have is the battery life which seems to be less than Samsung's or iPhone's. But because it functions so much better than Samsung I have many more things activated on it, so that's why battery life is shorter.
