First-generation Pixels will get final update in December

Soon after learning that the Google Pixel won’t receive the November patch, Google confirms December will be its final update.

They are outstanding - yes I had the pixel 3 and it was the least outstanding out of them all. But ye, just my opinion with having 5 differentz phones from 5 different brands.

    OG Pixel owner, hopefully we'll see 4a next year without all the nonsense in 4 and available for all/most countries.

      OG Pixel XL owner here. Still an excellent phone! Next upgrade: Google Pixel 4 XL. Google phones are the best!

              Welp time to downgrade back to 7.1.2 and ait and see if this shit bricks all out phones

                Pixel XL user here... At least we got Android 10.
                I gotta update only next year, but not to the pixel 4. Most likely a OnePlus or Galaxy 10 device.

                  surely they will look for any device with stock android or close to stock Android ( like Android One)

                    I gave our son my old iPhone 7, he still receives iOS updates to this day.

                      I think this is unfortunate to see Google giving only 2 years of software updates and just 3 years of security updates to its own devices. I can't help but to compare it with Apple because the iPhone 5S received updates for 6 years and 6 series for 5 years. I'd understand if this is the policy for Android one devices, but surely not its own flagship devices. It is indeed sad. But that's the norm in the Android world and custom roms is the way to go!

                        There's still OnePlus if you really value software version update and security patches. ;)
