This is the first photo with Astrophotography with Pixel 4. Its Constellation of Orion took from Mission Viejo, California Nov26 2019. Very impressive astrophoto

Yes low light is special in P30 but that´s not Astrophotography. Neither the moon picture. Astrophotography is related with stars and planets. With Milky Way and constellations. Google developed an AI mathematical software that only interstellar´s ships have.Nor the best DSLR camera has it. I´ve been taking pictures to the night sky for years an this is an impressive development. This will change the way astrophotographers look at the night sky.

Astrophotography is not a click and shot. Is not to shot the moon. I bought the Pixel 4 only for this feature. I´ve been taking astrophotography for years with my DSLR camera and for me was impossible that a phone could take a astrophotography. I learned Google made a software of mathematical algoritms based on AI (Artificial Intelligence) used by satellites and only experienced photographers will appreciate this feature. Pixel 4 isn´t a toy. Is a piece of High Tech equipment of the future in the present.

BCHLIU, 07 Nov 2019This feature has already been in the P30 Pros for a while. ... moretaking a photo of the moon isn't really a big deal. i've done it with a nokia 6230. even managed a lightning flash shot with a pathetic nokia c5. its only about your own talent.

This feature has already been in the P30 Pros for a while. Astrophotography can be done on the Huaweis no problems.. including taking pics of the moon directly without filters.

However, I also agree with the fact that both Telephoto and Ultrawide are important, more so than Astro mode, because these are the cameras one will use in their daily life.

I say: It's a gimmick. Astrophotography is nice and indeed wow. But it's not like for daily use. I rather get an ultra wide lens and give up astrophotography AND telephoto, lol.
