sumit, 08 Nov 2019The stock was only 9999 units as per disclosed by Samsung. You do realize Samsung has to actually make them rite? They don't just wave a magic wand and poof, a million folds appears. They are probably more focused on quality control than quantity.

Foldables are the waive of the future. People should be more supportive. The more manufacturers involved, the better the technology will be.

Niche product for the very rich. And there are a plenty of very rich people in China.

sumit, 08 Nov 2019The stock was only 9999 units as per disclosed by Samsung.20,000 units online.

Chinese love those big displays. When the iPhone 6 Plus was released, they sold like crazy. Asian adapted to the big displays faster than any other continent. Considering they make up 60% of the global population, that's why smaller phones went away.

Now "5.5 to "5.8 is considered as the compact phones when 7 years ago, many people still scoffed at that size. The bezel-less trend helped to keep them narrow and shorter though. I have no interest in the iPhone SE2 because I don't an SE X design. Not an iPhone 11 innards into an 8 body.

Rumour is it was only 450 units and some were bought by their sales agents. Since Samsung barely sells anything in China, this is more of a marketing stunt so they can claim there's still demand for their products in China.
