      That is a lie.

MediaTek chips have ALWAYS have had non-existent to problematic GPS. MT6589 did not even have GPS at all (therefore endless lock times), and most of their other chips required MediaTek engineering mode hacks (MobileUncle Tools, EPO files).

Most of us will stick with Kirin / Exynos / SnapDragon / Apple A.XX because they are objectively superior in every aspect.

IpsDisplay, 09 Nov 2019Right now mediatek Chipsets have the best GPS getting accur... moreI agree, Monopoly is affecting the consumers, we are getting highly priced chipset from Snapdragon, we need to support Mediatek. the new redmi note 8 pro never overheats, i Got one, i am a heavy pubg player, 4-5 hours of playing, it get warm exactly like my one plus 7

Right now mediatek Chipsets have the best GPS getting accuracy at 1m

Made stronger midrange chip than the 730g

I would even argue it's more energy efficient based on the Xiaomi mi note 10 battery performance Vs the note 8 pro.. although it could be a software issue..

Mediatek keep it coming competition is good
