my mi note 10's display is dead again after a year of replacement. i also noticed that screen is hot even when just watching videos, i think that's why this model has bad battery life. visionox amoled is damn terrible.

I've used this S6 loads as a 1 & only driver for 4 years, I never had an issue with any burn in or colour loss, maybe it's lost some blue, my Note9 screen is noticeably more perfect.

Regarding burn in I've played loads of Chess on it's Super AMOLED screen, brightness= ~50%, also Sat nav brightness up to 100% in daylight sunshine.

I've looked for an imprint or an impression of the chessboard, but I can't see any on this S6 & I've looked hard to see with full brightness @ max nits on both clear white & clear black backgrounds, with no trace whatsoever.

Green lines? Looks like you dropped it with no case, or you got an substandard ex-repair unit.
This S6 has been dropped without a case & the screen glass is cracked in the corner, but the display is fine.

The succeeding Mi Note 2 has curved OLED screen. Yeah, if you're too fixated about Samsung being the only one with curved display then that just shows how narrow-minded people are.

Behind OLED front camera, waterproof, 108mp rear, 12GB/512GB, UFS, very slight curve on waterfall sides, no bezels, wireless rapid charging, expandable SD and $500 make this a flagship killer.

Samsung is just one, of many, panel manufacturers. There is no copying here. Xiaomi, like everyone else, gets quotes from several suppliers and of course they select the best offer based on cost and performance.

In its best setting the Mi Note 10 manages an average deltaE of 1.9, and a deltaE of 3.7 in default mode.

In its best setting the Samsung Note10+ manages an average deltaE of 2.4, and a deltaE of 5.0 in default mode.

In case you don't know, lower is better and 2 is considered the limit as to there our human eyes are capable of spotting any errors.

So the Mi Note 10's is capable of flawless color reproduction, and the Samsung Note10+ is not. It's not bad, but not flawless either.

Even in it's best mode the Samsung Note10+ has some deviations up to 3.4. That is close to the Mi Note 10's average in it's default mode.

MIUI ads? I've over 5 Xiaomi phones and I've never noticed the ads.

Color accuracy is another matter entirely, and I have to wait for the review to come out first before buying this phone. So far, the most accurate displays are the ones from flagships like Iphone 11 Pro Max or Samsung S10

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2019Just got miui 11 global stable on my mi8, same ads as beforeNow that I'm even more curious what APP ( especially xiaomi's app) that you use in your daily driver that which contain ads.

I am on miui 11.xxx stable on a Chinese ROM, and I only use the browser from xiaomi which it is somewhat great for watching any videos online ( it kind of function like iOS, it separate the video from the website which I don't have to deal with ada from webpage).

Other than that, I hardly open any xiaomi's app, and even so I did open some once in while and no ads at all ( at least not all ).
Even the browser only shows the ads when I tap on the 3 stripe to open "option/manu" .
