A 21:9 screen ratio still can be handle well because it narrow width and it is best for split screen and web contain and panoramatic view.

Unfortunately samsung will without a doubt use a decent amount regardless. It could be a full frame 40-60mp sensor and they would almost for sure still use more sharpening than needed. As would most companies now a days

Only Quad and Nona Bayers (nine bay... moreNona Bayer is a quite stupid idea IMO, as no matter what you do with the signal processing you could never get a decent quality full resolution image out of the sensor. Quad Bayer was already pretty poor at full res output, I can't imagine how much it would be worse if 9 pixels with the same colour filter are grouped together. You might get slightly more dynamic range out of it than Quad, but honestly at this point I would rather have higher native resolution.

I think people missing the point. Technically only a 27mpx image. With all the quad bayer pixel binning. And the file size will be huge. Maybe Samsung should concentrate on lenses. Like Huawei use Leica.
              Use

Also, the bezels on Sony smartphones are massive, which makes them look even taller than they should do. By the way, Samsung already use 20:9 on the A70 and A80, so don't make out Sony are some kind of pioneer of taller aspects or have some kind of right to it. All Samsung would be doing by using 20:9 on the S11 is following on from what they have already done this year with the A series.

When sony went dor 21:9 aspect ratio everyone were complaining it wall tall, now when samsung is going to release 20:9 ratio it is postive and good. I hate tall phones but the way somethings get blown out of proportion over the other is frustrating

Read the article again. Samsung offers 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 19:9, 20:9 images from a 4:3 sensor and Im expecting a 3:2 sensor or at least 3:2 option.

Xiaomi is the hidden part for Smasung to be take a place in china for that you can easily see xiaomi electri motorized cars around in near future that based from samsung engineering blabla....without any patent regulation problems so far by this great work- in a short way samsung win-win stills

File size will be huge. Not good for emailing. They should use octa bayer filter, instead of quad bayer filter to keep file size smaller. They should use Heif file format instead of jpg.

Nick Tagataka, 12 Nov 2019Samsung is reportedly using the new generation 108MP sensor... moreUnfortunately extra noise reduction and over sharpening seem to be the norm no matter the size of sensor or resolution. Even larger ones.

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2019Well it's pretty disappointing on the Mi Note 10.. why? it'... moreSamsung is reportedly using the new generation 108MP sensor, and S11 will have a much better ISP than what Mi Note 10 has, so dynamic range and low light image quality should be substantially better with Samsung's offering compared to Xiaomi's.
With that said, if Samsung simply reuses the same HDR processing algorithms that Note 10 has right now for S11's camera, hideous noise reduction will turn 27MP image into a watercolour painting that only resolves 10MP equivalent of details. Let's just hope that Samsung learned their lesson this time around and they will utilise the full potential of Tetracell structure that enables one-shot HDR without any loss of resolution.

First of all it scored very well with dxo. Yes that definitely alone is not everything for sure. But it has high scores.
And it shows good quality and details.
Plus this xiaomi processing. Samsung would probably improve the isp and algorithms. Though the downside is thvvey might take that to far the other way with over processing.
But image stacking, speed, low light hdr, video, noise reduction, etc will probably be better on the s11.

Plus the other likely rumor is that they will use a better version of the sensor. Maybe ois, or better sensor tech, dram, and of course their brighter and variable aperture. Which switching to f2.4 would probably improve detail performance under a number of conditions for a larger sensor like that. More than you could tell on the 12mp sensors.

Though yeah it definitely doesn't seem to outperform the detail level of 808. But hopefully it's comes close with all the improvements in focus, stabilizing, low light, and hdr we have now.

I'm most excited about color rendering, most of current hi res got the yellow quite bad. From what I could catch, only Samsung and Sony flagships are comparable to dslr in that, though seeing real samples, Sony still feels the most real.
