Do people game on a Nokia 808 PureView? No? Then do the same thing with the Mi Note 10. It's a camera powerhouse first, normal smartphone second.

Alex 94, 17 Nov 2019Here is everything about 550€ price. Everyone just want sd ... moreMain camera captures more detail than mate30pro in full res - in binned mode, 2x tele is the brightest and most sharp, could compare it to main cameras too.
Phones are already over the top in performance and as for battery, you just need it if you gonna shoot with this multicamera device, even with full size cameras is capacity never enough.
For its price and what it can do there is no competitor, how can that not motivate somebody.
Surely not for those wanting the best gaming phone or fastest one with 4k60, its for shooting stills before anything else.

Vitaliano G., 17 Nov 2019Finally your readers teach you a lesson. All gsmarena Xiao... moreU r exactly right. It´s obviously that Xiaomi wants to become a global player with a range of products from cheap entry level phones, midrangers and soon real flagships. They seem to have a clear path and are now focusing on camera quality that often makes a difference. If they would have put an SD855 in the MI Note 10 with a higher price tag they´d been a direct competitor to Apple, Samsung and Huawei over night. They are not ready for that yet brand wise as well that they are not a real global player yet.

Vitaliano G., 17 Nov 2019Finally your readers teach you a lesson. All gsmarena Xiao... moreYou want a good camera but dont need the phone for heavy gaming so you have a good camera phone that handles everything very well on the android side too, but have it as a main feature camera that you want. There is no choice in other brands where you can get a good camera phone that isnt flagship phone and will cost less with middle class top end chip.

There are choices to get a good chip phone or lack on other features like camera or even screen but be under 300 euro and with flagship sd845 or even 855 in it for under 400 euro. When you dont need the phone for the other flagship features then only camera, then why you need to pay more for a phone as from other brands flagships with 800+ euro price tags.

With this Mi note 10 you get a good camera phone for 250+ euro less then top of the line on par with the Mi note 10 camera phones that cost around 1100+ euro and you dont need the rest of the features like 90Hz screen and so on

My problem with this phone is MIUI, not a SoC.

Best (choice of) chipset ever. Literally the only thing one could cut so that the phone have excellent cameras without the associated price. You cut the one withing with the diminishing returns (an SD730 is basically 98% the same as a sn SD855 in every day experience).

Excellent choice, no wonder fanboys hate it. Fanboys always hate progress.

It will sale fine since people who bloat about S855 here doesn't buy anything, they just keep waiting.

And normal customers outside cyber-world do mind camera more than chipset. My GF also one of that, she want anything that take good picture and ask what is SoC.

i think mybe they will make soon mi note 10+ pro with sd865,
it's market strategy in order to make people keep buying their product.

The biggest problem with this phone is the price point. Even when considering its cutting-edge camera sensor, 599 euros is asking too much when the Mi 9 and Mi 9T Pro (both with S855) are 499 and 449 euros respectively for the 128GB variant. 499 euros would've been decent. Oh and let's not forget the Chinese pricing...

The camera modules aren't the only factor of its price but the branding. Yes it's a Xiaomi but its part of the CC9 lineup which includes the CC9e / A3, CC9 / Mi 9 Lite and CC9 Pro / Mi Note 10. If you look at Mi 9 Lite price, its around Mi 9T's price despite Mi 9T clearly having more expensive components. Imagine if Xiaomi had slapped in a Samsung HMX on the Mi 9T/ 9T Pro, it'd be a killer.

I'm waiting this camera in an premium smartphone, with wireless charging and a smaller size

harwey, 17 Nov 2019I think this chipset is more than adequate for this phone p... moreone of realistic comment.

I think this chipset is more than adequate for this phone price wise, spec wise it's spot on.It's as powerful as SD 835 two years ago and on pair with last year SD 845.855(+) with 8GB of RAM will raise the price 100 euros,surely.Mi10 is coming in few months with top SD 800 series chipset, along with the 2nd gen.of this mighty camera setup...

The most expensive part of a smartphone is the SoC no matter what. If they put a SD855 in they could never deliver it at this price! A lot of people get fooled by the chinese/indian prices that make circles on the internet but european prices will and always have been a lot higher than that because first the people here can afford that, second the competition is clearly a lot more expensive (Apple, Samsung and even Huawei) and third there is a lot fewer competition.

could somebody tell me if the battery life is so poor as it was in review? Lenovo P2 had worst chipset, but 5000mah bat and has really great battery life.
