Like when audiocassete or WHS were swapped for CD then DVDs and then Blueray discs.
Now all are cheap.

That design concept is how the W20 5G should be. Samsung's W Series has always been a flip phone from the start, so this kind of flip up phone with foldable screen is definitely a worthy idea. The real legit W20 5G would be just a normal Galaxy Fold with 5G modem exclusively for China market, so the W2019 would be a true icon and be deeply desired.

That said, Motorola should have done more to cram contemporary high end specs inside the phone, to somehow justify the price.

High cost is the flexible oled.
Also, Motorola flagships were never been popular. Their midranges (G series mainly) carry the brand. There is no point for them to use 855 and triple cam (not even space to put).
Samsung sells flip phone W series in China for price much higher than Note series. Way higher.
You wont have sub-$1000 flexible phone, not even if oled comes from those cheap suppliers that sell to chinese brands.
Phones with flex oled :
Fold 4G = $2400
Mate X = $3600
Mix Alpha = €2500

Foldable phones will cost 1000-1200 in a couple of years. But of course don't expect them be lower than 1000 dollars anytime soon.
And this type of foldable phone seems most practical and could be the chepest option.

I would suggest that all the people bashing the fold try it out before passing judgment. It is truly a unique device and literally one of a kind.
It is a pocketable tablet and can be a phone too. I use both screens and have had it for a while and do not regret buying it. It's not as fragile as some of the videos online, would make you believe. It is built well and I have been using it without a case, even dropped it once and its fine.

Another Samsung copy, like allways, flod the market with every thing.
I liked Samsung at the start wit SGH600 and E700, now it's just copy from other brands.

With crazy prices.
Prices are already crazy though. 800 euro phones are a no go . I can live with my HTC U11 forever since I paid for it 780 euros. It's a huge investment, really.
