As an employee of HTC i must say S4 isnt really that impressive least in real life performance, u guys are overhyping the snapdragon here. Sure S4 got more instruction per cloak but with that being said it also draws WAY more power (fyi Cortex a15 is advertised on ARM only as dual-core max for phones rather than quad - Nvidia might bend the rules thou). This is like Intel Core i7 dual vs Intel core 2 duo where i7 will certainly kill it, but boy it sucks power.

It's certainly an interesting battle. On one side we have:

            Snapdragon S4:

28nm, Cortex A15-ish Krait. More Instructions per clock, which should translate to better performance (Krait architecture) and lower power consumption (28nm process, dual core)

            Tegra 3:

Quad-Core Cortex A9, fabbed at 40nm. All things being equal I expect this to be inferior to the Snapdragon S4, since it's Cortex A9 architecture means it processes less instructions per clock, and it's 40nm process means that it consumers more power. In layman terms, it will take longer to process stuff than the S4, consuming more power per unit of time to boot. The only saving grace is the Low-Power companion core.

There are only 2 problems with these phones (that HTC seem to emphasize in commercials..?). Poor camera and beats audio :( Why oh why.

Hey guys, and gals, I am a proud owner of an SGS2 for almost a year now, and it is the longest phone I held onto, but it is 2012 not 2011, all good things must come to an end. I have pre ordered my ONE X and cannot wait for it, my only problems with the GALAXY? SLOW updates, and SLOW release dates in the middle east, I had to get mine from the UK without any warranty... also, BAD KIES software... HTC has more support in my region, will get my phone within 2 weeks from the official dealer, and BEATS, and I want to try Tegra 3, my only problem??? NO micro SD card, this is not a good move.... Finally if all fails, then I will go back to SG3 of course, but I seriously doubt it, ONE X looks like a finie winner here

I like the "very impressive battery life" ..wonder how the Tegra X is going to perform on the tests

guess what joseph first of all what you are saying is not gonna happen...and even if it happens we guys are not interesteed in crappy touchwiz....Senseful people use SENSE....secondly the quality of samsung, does it even comes closer to HTC's.....the only thing HTC needed to work upon was battery and thats already done coz AT&T official who benchmarked this marvel mentioned--"this is mind blowing performance with impressive battery"
                    .

HTC go rock.....and also the of 144 carriers is itself a proof....its more than for S2.....S2 was available on 140 carriers....

Joseph, 26 Mar 2012Hey. Wait friends.. the score is not impressive as a quad... moreAT&T's One X uses snapdragon S4 which incorporates 2 Krait Cores(derivatives of Cortex A15), not as u said quad-core. so the scores bode well against the SGS2 and it will stay there for a long time as flagship as well. Whereas SGS2 will be obsoleted soon
