Google spyware that tracks your every step is definitely anything but vital - except for Google itself, so the cam make lots and lots of profit by selling your personal data to whoever wants it (advertisers, NSA, whoever else).
There are much better alternatives to Google spyware apps, so they're completely unnecessary anyway and just bloating your precious memory - and you can't even uninstall them, because Google forces everyone to install Google apps as root, so they can't be uninstalled - unless you root your device, but that can be complicated, it will void your warranty, banking apps and some others will stop working etc. So there's no good way to free your phone of bloated Google spyware.
About updates, Huawei is always very fast. Two weeks ago, I got the Android 10 update for my Mate 20 (sadly including all of Google's spyware). This is my fifth Huawei phone already, and Huawei was good from the beginning, is even getting better and better with the updates.
This is in sharp contrast to Samsung, who is always super slow with updates. I remember paying a huge amount of money for the S7 edge, when it came out. Updates were always super slow, took them until May (!) for the new Android, over half a year! That awful edge always gave a lot of phantom touches, the battery was sorely lacking and just got worse and worse, etc. It was an awful experience, after paying way too much money for it.

They also continually harass and beat students in hong kong with police brutality so there is that aggressive dictatorship. If you educate yourself with videos from the news that would help a lot.

Guys, please leave your political preferences aside, there are a lots of other sites to do this.
This is the place to talk about gadgets. Let everybody to make his own choice which phone to buy. I personally will buy Mate 30 Pro even if all the World will call me in bad words and so on. If it won't be available in my country that's bad but there are Amazon and Ebay - these two will resolve all my needs anyway. I made my choice not because of other things (I'm smart enough to delete all Googles**t) but because of it's specs. And the camera of Mate 30 is definitely the best available jet. I always looking for the best cameras. If somebody else will start to produce phones without without pre-installed software at all but with the World's best cameras, GPS and phone speech (not players or so) sound quality as such I will switch to that producer. Meanwhile I vote for HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro!

Finally there's at least a chance to get this great phone in Latvia also. I'm really happy there's no that Google crap! I don't want to deal with GoogleSpy at all. Usually it took a week or so to pull all Googles*it off from my phones before I inserted a SIM cards, and look like Mate 30 Pro will be more ready for saving my privacy. I hate to feel Google eyes in my ass. If somebody feels the same this is the right choice for us. And...if somebody else is such a brainless to find youtube or channels alike without using a specialy designed spy-app go and get cracked apple things.

Well this is kinda strange Huawei mate 30 and Mate X lacks google services but Honor phones which are also made by Huawei and other Huawei phones got google services even the trade ban.

[deleted post]I wish the privacy is the only compromise that comes with Google, there is also the performance issue since Google is always consuming and cup power for spying and if you don't believe me compare the mate 30 without Google with the one that comes with Google, you would see what I'm talking about.
