It's already Nokia Belle..
And Nokia do that because they gonna add features from the other OS's like Maemo and MeeGo (after 2016, or maybe sooner..).. So, a collab between all this OS's can't say it and sell it as Symbian..

i've nokie E6 & when i updated to the newSoftware Symbian belle i found that the videos that need the flash player to open(like extentions flv )not working & it was opening be4 the updating so is there any updates to the flash player??

S40 java is dead.. replace with Meltemi (Linux) :D

Dont forget Symbian has got life at least until 2016 gauranteed and just because it may/matnot stop then it does not mean the phone in your pocket dies overnight...Symbian will continue with support from enthusisast and such like so Symbian is here until 2018 minimum and no O/S has that guarantee..
They may even make better in todays world keeping Symbian useable for another decade..I cannot wait to get a 808 with Symbian running at 1.3GHz even tho thats overkill..I am a Nokia Symbian fan since 2003 but using sgs2 at moment beacause of surround sound settings that i can only get on Samsung phones..I have asked and consulted one developer but its if they can do it for me..The elemants of super surround are their in series 60 third edtion in 3D ringtones so the API's or DLL or whatever they are are already their for Symbian,,,Argghhhh wish i could develop apps but useless at coding etc..

i have seen belle feature pck 1 on nokia 808 (41 mp) ,its so superb. symbian fans are getting lucky.
