I think the main issue is the screen material, until now there is no material durable to protect the screen from scratched/cracked (drop down impact.. ) for the foldable phablet, therefore a monolithic design is the best for now, monolithic design has better durability and easy design with the water-resistant feature. Foldable phablet still doesn't have water-resistant as a protection while it even heavier than a normal phablet, example a foldable phablet around 300g a normal phablet is around 200g, if you find the 200g phablet held in single hand is heavy then the foldable phablet is around 300g and it doesn't count on the protective case. If you carry foldable phablet in your pocket a big swing while you walking due to it weight.

When comes to beauty factor and the way hinge was managed to catch as low debris from outside as possible the razr is a very easy winner.

They just need to get it right, in terms of, IP68 waterproofing the fold AND having the display be made out of a glass that bends. The Samsung design is the worst-of-both-worlds because the plastic display gets scuffed easily by fingers, and the hinge is susceptible to clogged by sand, grain, particles, and water.

what is so special about the razr is that they just "modernize" their line up... it means that those people who used to have razr before will definitely love it... it is a good reincarnation...
galaxy fold also seemed like a nokia communicator so it will also attract people who used to have it...
at my end, the solution of zte and microsoft pose little damage risk... and lg's second screen accessory is the safest... have it when you need it, leave it otherwise... but these three defeats the purpose of continuous folded display...
anyway, you take what makes sense to you...

Clamshell still the best.
Ever since laptops appear, its the best way to protect the weak display and provide a stable platform to work with.

Damn i love that Razr signature flip! Flip it to make a call and flip it to close a call. One-handed. It's so cooooooooooool!
