Samsung Galaxy S11+ appears in Geekbench, its Exynos chipset lacks custom cores

25 November 2019
Samsung shut down its custom CPU core division earlier this year, but we didn't expect to see the change happen so quickly.

I still like fact that Samsung has fixed it issues with battery durability and now one can just get any of their products and enjoy it. From GSMArena review, I have seen the Galaxy S11+ will be another hit in the market and the competition begins again. However, I don't think any company can beat this. Let The Game Begin.

NOTE: With GSMArena, Phone Specs at your Fingertips. Thank's @GSMArena am always current on mobile phones with your updates.

Pedros43, 25 Nov 2019I would trust geekbench 4 scores over geekbench 5 any day...Are they not made by same developers or something?
What were the changes that drove you to this decision? the fact that these scores are higher than a13?

wait, I thought Samsung has announced Exynos 990, successor of Exynos 9820/9825? So what is this Exynos 9830 chipset?

I'm going to "sit on the fence" with this and wait for the official announcement before deciding on what to do about my next phone.

With more models in the pipeline, I'll have a better idea of which one to go for.

It's a shame they're dropping custom cores. I know they weren't quite as good as Snapdragon, but the SoC market just lost one of its options and a lack of competition only hurts us.

I would trust geekbench 4 scores over geekbench 5 any day...

Guys there seems to be a typo as you guys have mentioned the Snapdragon 965, the upcoming version is 865, so please update the written article

This is far worse than expecting... If their CPU performs so badly, seems that the Exynos chipset will be taken down too on this generation.

They really only need a good ISP for the cameras. They can just used standard ARM stuff for their CPU and GPU.
