Stupid Apple fanboys with copying nonsense. It looks like every laptop. And Apple didn't invent laptop.
If we are talking about small design differences, i doubt that Apple MacBook have small bezels like MagicBook, or hidden camera in keyboard...

It's like how SUV owners are screaming about automanufacturers making only crossovers. They make product, which can be sold better and at higher profit. It's demand side economics, get used to it.

This is wrong. Both 3500U and 3700U offer SMT (simultaneous multi threading).
Also hyper threading is just Intel's implementation of SMT. On AMD's CPUs it's just called SMT, they didn't give it any special marketing name.
There's a distinction because AMD's SMT slightly differs from Intel's and is also a bit better since it scales better than HT.
It's like HDR and Apple's Deep Fusion. Deep Fusion is an implementation of HDR (among many other things) and only applies to iPhones while other OEMs just call it HDR even though each manufacturer's HDR implementation is different.
