        Just uninstalled my Google Photos because it burnt my battery life even in flight mode while I was sleeping.

            I only use Messenger because of communications reasons for my family and friends.

            I disabled my FB account for privacy reasons and recent FB scandal.

              I don't trust Facebook and Google apps, thanks.

              I have disabled certain Google features on my Android phone. They are bloatware and just makes your phone run less efficiently.

              Using that feature is like gas and fire. No wonder Facebook was hit with the $5 billion fine recently. Neither Google nor Facebook respects your privacy.

                  Other than Messenger or keeping certain game data, I won't trust Facebook. Just a pathetic app with pathetic developers

                    No thanks, I don't use Google Photos.

                      I prefer staying anonymous as possible rather than creating another FB account for just the sake of securing all saved photos to Google Photos.

                            When I use cloud storage, I use encryption, which ultimately decrease my capacity, but fends off prying eyes, for a while at least.
                            Facebook's only photos of me are thanks to my non-tech-savvy friends.

                                What sort of permissions would Facebook's tool require on the other service (Google Photos, iCloud, OneDrive, etc.)?

                                I hope it is write only, and doesn't give it permissions to read photos already on the service. The last thing I'd want is Facebook vacuuming up even more data under the guise of "removing duplicates" or some such claim. Or worse still, giving Facebook access to non-photo content on those respective platforms.

                                    Good to see that Facebook has thought of this rather than this being an automated feature ever since Cloud Storage was introduced.
