I spent a hard-earned cash for a new device which I expected that would get an upgrade from Samsung since it's a new phone but no. Someone from the xda was able to port ics on GW and is now on alpha stage, fyi, so what is Samsung's excuse to that? If i'd only known this would happen, I should've gotten the Arc S instead.

Get wp? Wp 8 won't be supported for most of current so called high end wp 7.x phones.

At lease Samsung giving some features of ICS, beside Gingerbread 2.3.6 is a very matured & stable OS, pointless to have full ICS if the system will lagged running on 512MB RAM.

I'm sick with Samsung. No ICS update means it's difficult for devs to build ICS custom ROM. I'm done with Samsung. I'm not gonna buy anymore phone by Samsung.

I'm not getting this stupid little upgrade from Samsung. Samsung is like my mom when I was a kid; I ask for a Gameboy advance then she gives me a brick game. I hate you Samsung like I hate my mom!

this device is even more capable than some of the xperia 2011 phones, yet it's only getting a value pack while those midrange xperia devices get full ICS from sony mobile. my goodness samsung.

I'm starting to dislike the way samsung does with its smartphone line-up. Galaxy w is just a recently announced phone yet it won't be getting an ics update. I think they should give their customers the update that they need. They're just saying that this particular smartphone can't be updated but in fact it can be.

Hardware wise, Galaxy is more superior than Galaxy S.
If Galaxy S can run ICS without a problem, Galaxy W should do even better.
